Hi all

Can anyone confirm about this for me please?

1 - whether we will still be able to access our old PMs?

2 - can we look back at old posts we have made / threads we created?

Or is a whole new from scratch thing?

It's a shame the "likes" wont carry across, as I use them (along with subscriptions) to keep a track of threads that I want to come back too, despite not having yet commented. It's a handy feature.

I too hope that my username will port ok (no others look to clash), with the underscore instead of the space, but I can see that that's going to cause major problems, as there's bound to be lots where the name is already in use. Guess we'll have to wait and see!!

Please dont have the OP of a thread pinned to the top of every page in that thread on the new forum.

This was tried in the "blue" forum view and it just sucks. Threads evolve naturally and this adds some confusion and distracts from the experience when reading and following the discussion. I realise threads going off topic is annoying but doing this stickying of the OP does not solve that problem at all and smacks of people who don't actually use the forum heavily trying to be clever.

Not sure how I get round this one. The email I use for MSE is not available to me anymore and on top of that my computer remembers my password not me (its an old account) so I can't change the email as you need to know your password to change it. I don't use the forum much so I guess I'll just have to start again but if there is a clever workaround would love to know. Thanks
