Good morning,
Not an NSD here as I'll pick up a biggish ASDA order later. Some things for next week but mainly for our long weekend away so we won't need to go shopping there. While out this morning I also posted a present to Germany and treated myself to some new feel good incense sticks for the house.
My legs are still a bit leaden from the class on Wednesday but I will go today.
Thanks mothernerd for the excellent collection of advice. Will actually copy it and print it out as there was so much and quite a few things resonated with me.

Not a NSD today, booked our airport parking for our holiday, did it through TCB so should get a few quid back for that and it says it's payable in 1 week which is relatively quick
Very much looking for our week away, it'll be my first holiday that I have budgeted for holiday spends, although we are going all-inclusive, so I shouldn't touch even half of what I will be taking. Although, I am debating just taking half of the amount I have planned for, as I will need to exchange for euros?? I can always leave the other half on my card in case there is anything I want at the airport, I guess. I just don't want to be stuck with leftover euros, or end up spending them to avoid trying to change them back?0 -

Today I am grateful for the breadth and depth of ideas and inspiration to be found in the turtle community (esp mothernerd and f0xh0les), for dh coming with me to the train stn, for an easy trio of trains, for finding some clothes for mum in the ch shops, for spending time with mum, for athletics on the box, for my needlefelting keeping me occupied, for no rain, for a good 10-min workout.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Evening all!!!
Thankyou Mothernerd for all the amazing and inspiring advice today. Your post about mental health is timely and I hadn't thought of some of those. Your determination not to give in to your physical challenges is also inspiring. Thank you again.
Today = NSD number 3
Today = Exercise session number 3/3
I feel like I am already in hibernation mode... aside from driving to the gym I've been home all day... and as soon as it gets dark I don't want to budge. I'll read and practice some mindfulness and get in an early night I think. With the parents all day tomorrow.
Have a great night folks x
P.S. Does anybody know how to remove all the code for bold/colours/font in the message window when composing posts? It never used to be like that and it's driving me bonkers haha. Thanks!⭐ DEBT FREE : 18/02/2025 ⭐

Well mum's new curtain pole is up, complete with curtains. The cleaner put the other one up (it was the existing pole and I had threaded the curtains and linings on, just didn't have any energy left to put it back on the brackets.
Going to have to takea raincheck on your posta turtles. Having spent all afternoon up a ladder or sitting on top of tall chests of drawers, working blind with both hands well above my head, everything is hurting and my hands started cramping.
I've set up a dry outdoor space so I can carry on with the outside bits even if it rains but the weather man lied. \He said it wasn't going to rain again until tomorrow evening so I put two chunky pieces of wood to dry and then the sun went away again.
Today I am grateful for a lovely shower, for having left little bottles of shower gel and shampoo at mum's and for picking up some ys bargains (for mum).My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -

Thank you for all the lovely kind things you have said.
I will rest f0xh0les, it was just one of those jobs that had to be seen through to the end once I'd started. From taking down the old curtains (then pole then brackets) I had to keep going to the point where mum had curtains to draw tonight.
There are some bits still to do, screws to tighten but I've done what needed to be done. i did stop for drinks and a rest in between each section but once I was up on the drawers (handy for having bits I needed in reach) there was no point coming down until that bit was completed (going up and down the steps gets progressively more arduous).
