f0xh0les - the sick bugs seem to be starting early this year.
I have been to work today, our new manager started this week, if I thought the current staff were bad I had no idea, he is awful, even the other staff are shocked.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Evening all
Been awol due to (expensive) laptop problems, now rectified. At least it was cheaper than buying a new laptop would have been, even the cheapest!
I am now on NSD no. 11. Had to buy new bedding today though, as the sheets I alternate on our bed are both getting very thin and going into holesManaged to get them for a reasonable price at lovely local-ish old fashioned haberdasher's shop. Very lucky to still have this shop, and I was pleased to see it was busy today
Tomorrow won't be a NSD either, as the shop where my sales unit is located has a fundraiser for charity, and I will need to donate. Already made some cakes, using ingredients I already have, so no extra expense there anyway.... and it is for a great cause, so I don't mind!0 -
Evening all, apologies for the lack of posts, was unwell on Tuesday and still sort of recovering. Have had nothing exciting to report either! Just plodding along. Haven't spent much, have had to buy some bits and bobs for the furries and a couple of essentials in the supermarket. Had to pay for parking for a meeting at work yesterday but can claim that back. I should have about £80 spare once my final DD for the month goes through. Will pop it into savings.0

Today I am grateful for the weather improving, for a nice day at work, for some good conversations, for my dd, for a simple tea, for getting to the gym to use heavier weights, for good books, for still picking rasps, for t'interweb and electricity at the flick of a switch.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Hi all:j
Well bagged another NSD today so scaling the dizzy heights of 11/15
Yes dolly84 the closure caused all sorts of problems & it is on for 9 days. I can't imagine how much revenue shops have lost because they were all deserted. I was told it was the first time there in 32 years, and I believe all the town centre streets were closed, certainly the main ones. And I believe there will be some disruption at the weekend in Skipton, which will make life difficult for going to Yarndale
Didn't seem to get so much done today but did have an hour in the garden, although not planting bulbs, they are still to do.
Food was all from stores and all YS, one more lot of the sandwiches for DH tomorrow & then they will be gone. DD is a total shopaholic, now she realises that I don't want to go to the shops daily, but she always texts me to ask if I want her to get me anything....er no, thanks. No wonder she has no money...

House hostage today, ds2s birthday, have had texts and emails from dh's family starting at 9pm saying they had forgotten ds2's birthday and hopefully something will turn up in the post today, and can I give dS2 some money and they will send me a cheque at a future date, etc etc, but don't worry, as they know ds1's birthday is in a fortnight so his present will come on time. No wonder second children have a whole SYNDROME named after them. But it's all right, as I am at home 'anyway' so it will not be a problem to wait in. Totally bl00dy useless, the lot of them.
Cake made, filled, and iced. He has requested dim sum and a takeaway - so the steamer is out and ready to go, we will cook the rice at home, and just buy main dishes. It is his birthday meal, if that is what he wants, then that is what he shall have. Presents wrapped and ready for after school. DS4 upstairs feeling much better, but the 48 hour rule keeps him out of school for another day.
So I do not know if I keep my NSD today (17) until after the postman or delivery men have been. Will report back later. - I have had to deploy the tumble drier. Got one load dry overnight and rescued it just before a shower came, but had a load of towels that needed finishing off.
*Still no heating

Was going to run before tea today but the weather is bad so my hm pizza is in the oven and I'm not sure I will venture out again, having said that I have been cooped up all day in a windowless room so I might go for a walk with the dog.
Will be in pj's by 7pm I reckon with a nice glass of red.
Have a nice evening all.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

I've hit my nsd target today :j so I'm very pleased about that (it will be the first time since April I think).
Other than that I'm just pleased to have made it to the weekend in one piece. I'm looking forward to a lot of relaxing if possible - it's ds birthday on Sunday so I'm aiming for tomorrow to rest
Just waiting for dd to get home (out with her friends) and then I can properly relax and welcome the weekend in.Not giving up

Today I am grateful for taking myself out of my comfort zone and going to a Macmillan coffee morning at dd's sch without knowing anyone else, for using a 3 off 20 sainz voucher, for a good natter with a friend at lunchtime, for catching up on the recorded rugby, for dd not having a rehearsal after school, for getting dd to a bday party on time and she had a fantastic time, for hula hoops (the edible sort).NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Evening all, this may be my last post of the month as have a busy weekend coming up. Didn't manage a NSD, stocked up on painkillers and just remembered I needed some very particular spices that I use a lot of so I got those online. Also filled the car up. Adopting a new furry tomorrow which will take up most of the day. Sunday will be out riding and volunteering at RDA (weather looks absolutely pants so not looking forward to it!). Will catch up with you all soon, enjoy a very MSE rest of the month everyone :beer:0
