They say the payment will be made by cheque by 4 October but I suppose it might arrive sooner. However, I go on holiday for three weeks on 27 September so it will probably be nearer the end of October before I can deposit it in my account. So long as the cheque arrives I don't care.

NSD 10!
Will have to go to locksmith's in the morning (unavoidable) so while I still have a working car (the key is stuck in the ignition) I am ploughing through the jobs on the list and making everything in the house better.
Moving furniture is a very cheap hobby.
Only 2 separate pickups tonight, so will be back home around 4.30.
I am knackered after all this kitchen moving about nonsense. Going to have a cuppa before venturing out to find some kids.
Enjoy the sunshine Turtles!

6 NSDs so far. I will be spending tonight but it’s work’s money not mine
It’s 8 days to go until pay day and there’s not much spare in the pot but everything is covered. We only need a small shop this weekend and are not planning on spending on going anywhere this weekend as DH has had a crazy week at work and will want to relax.
I do have a living room to finish stripping the wall paper from in preparation for painting before the shelves go in.
I am feeling a bit down in the dumps about my job (fed up/bored/worried I may be up for redundancy) so have rejigged my CV, reloaded it to some job sites and applied for a job and feel a bit better now.Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%

Great buy on the bed, Mothernerd.

Actually got quite a lot done today even though Himself didn't go out as planned.
Local paper called me today re the planning application. Apparently following over 100 objections and representations from two of our three councillors (the third one hasn't even acknowledged my email - guess who I won't be voting for next time round?) the Council are amending their application. The paper asked if I'd like to comment. I moderated my language, said it still didn't address the problems and I still objected. Suggested they contact our councillors for further comment. Apparently they have also emailed my neighbour. Now, she won't moderate her language and they will be left in no doubt as to how she feels.
The chicken legs I took out for dinner this morning still hadn't defrosted an hour ago. Must go and check them otherwise it might be toast for dinner.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
Today I am grateful for a positive appraisal, for a good day at work, for walking, for a chance to just sit on a park bench and read a book, for helping dd with her hwk, for a chat with my neighbour, for dd feeling more confident about school.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Sold some books today - hopefully another 46 being collected tomorrow, along with some outgrown clothes of ds3's
Children will get the money for all of the books, as they were theirs. Also put 2 leg0 st4r w4rs duvet sets in the CS bag - outgrown by ds2 and ds3 does not want them on his bed! Added some outgrown items from dressing up box too
Still been spending... sigh.....
Worked this morning - hopefully will be in this month's money
Very tired - will have another early night
Toni's friend - fantastic news!!! (Sadly, I never took up ppi on anything!)

Hi all:j
Not a lot to report today but that does mean an NSD bagged as no spends : 8/15
had a disturbed night so quite groggy all day & didn't really get with it at all.
However I did clear out my kitchen pan cupboard & put loads of them into a plastic container ready to go to the tip, subject to DD checking them out first. Discovered at least one pan that I didn't know I had, and lots that were well past useful. Have new pans etc bought the other day so have already replaced. Need to get on ladder to see what is in the top cupboards, lots I know.
All food from stores, digging out saleable items.

Had a sleepless night, thanks to chilblains !!! and giant spider lurking.
Plumber yesterday must be the slowest ever. 4 1/2 hours to re route kitchen sink waste pipe through wall. By 7pm I was cold, coughing my head off with all the doors open not to mention hungry. Anyway job done. Half cleared up last night but have to do brick dust outside today as it was getting dark. £110 gone but think that was reasonable as he supplied a overflow waste as well and patched up old hole in the wall outside.
This morning, trying to get rid of giant spider, thought open bathroom window and it would go out in the day. Blind fell down into bath together with plants, soil, prickly cactuses. If the spider is still alive underneath deserves to live. Was late for work so clear up later.
Sun is out, hope to see few hours of it later after work and not spend anything today.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220 -
Calling - clever old spider, I mean, it is getting cold out there!
NSD 11 today - I will do the locksmith tomorrow. I have removed my 'door open-y clicky thing' off the key, so nobody can steal my car and I can keep today's NSD. Cleaned and cleared the floor in front of the washing machine, all nice and tidy. One box of tat left to sort in the kitchen. One single box!! Very exciting.
Supper tonight will be bubble and squeak and sausages. Using up all those leftovers. Found a few stray bags of crisps in the pantry, so no need for lunchbox tat until the spend day planned tomorrow.
Will have a cuppa and go off volunteering this afternoon.
See you later Turtles!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Himself got the results of his blood tests today. Thankfully no diabetes but too much iron and not enough foliate. Apparently that could explain the tiredness. A prescription is awaiting collection at the Health Centre so we'll get that tomorrow. Awaiting the results of x rays now which might be arthritis.
Plodding along doing a little extra job every day and trying to get on top of cleaning and decluttering.
Using what I can from freezer and stores. Don't want to buy too much before we go away. Made a tomato sauce yesterday with what was in the fridge and some dried herbs, It's in the slow cooker just now with meatballs and we'll have it with some pasta. Better go and see how it's coming alongHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0
