You are insinuating thats what is happening even though I've denied it. This is malicious.

I'm stating that's how the supermarket will view excessive refunds on fruit and veg.

Well, whatever it was you were doing, the supermarket does not want you doing it any more, and that is perfectly within their rights and does not infringe any of your rights.
(Although I could be wrong, I often am.)
  • I'm amazed you can get a refund for anything just by 'phoning up and not having to return it. If I were shopping there daily (or every other day) I'd bring it back anyway.

That's because most people would never use it or maybe once. It's a good marketing line for the store. However seems that OP had them on speed dial and listed the number as "friends and family".

    So do tell:

    1) What supermaket is this so we can have a look at their actual policy.
    2) How many times did you phone them and about which products.
    3) Did they ask for a photo of the product to be emailed, or did they say just bin it and issue the refund.
    4) After the phone ban, how many times did you go back instore for a refund and what were the products?

Yes but its not just a ban its an ultimatum that says either shop here and stop (or significantly reduce) exercising your consumer rights, or face a ban.

The result is the same as a person who has been stripped of their consumer rights.

I dont think theyre saying that.

It look slike theyre saying that they dont believe they can provide you with the qaulity of product you like.

If i went to nissan, bought a car and said i didnt like it because it doesnt drive as well as the nissan at another garage or when i drove it with them a month earlier would you expect Nissan to keep offering me a car until i was satisfied with it? Bear in mind, im keeping every car that they offer me as a good will gesture.

Creme eggs is another example. Shrunk in size about 17%. if someone was used to buying the larger ones and was mistaken in to buying a smaller one, youd expect them to get a refund on it, maybe the first few times. If theyre still doing it in the third year of them being made smaller, theyre taking the mick. Youre that person.

Its clearly not just the supermarket that think youre taking the mick. More or less everyone else thinks youre largely a cause of your own issues.

The fact is you want better quality produce than that supermarket can reliably provide. Its not in their interest to allow you to carry on, im struggling to comprehend how its not in your best interest to move to another supplier. You say you want quality produce but will only shop somewhere that provides sub standard product by your own metrics. I suspect its price agreeable which will explain the varying quality of the goods and you dont want to pay more for better quality goods and supply. In which case, you need to expect a lower quality product.

The problem with this forum is its probably full of employees that work for the supermarkets! That would explain the lack of sympathy!

I feel that im being unfairly treated here, is this just the way it works?

As you asked a question in your first post and although it appears that you only want answers that back you up, I'll give my opinion anyway.

You are not being unfairly treated and yes, that's the way that things work in life.
You take advantage of the goodwill of anyone or any business and as you are now finding out, sooner or later that goodwill will come to an end.

I've told you I don't get free food and its not a scam. So why are you taking their side? are you a supermarket worker? If a person is not a scammer they deserve to have a refund. There is no law on excessive refunds theres no such thing.
Even the supermarkets have no policy on excessive refunds.
  • Here we go. We're only one step away from the inevitable "you must work for the supermarket" post.

You can argue with people all you like, the plain fact is that the retailer can ban you for any reason they like. Personally, I think your behaviour has been unreasonable.
