The problem with this forum is its probably full of employees that work for the supermarkets! That would explain the lack of sympathy!
And with that one post, your credibility has plummeted from low to non existent.
Your problem is not that this forum is full of supermarket employees.
It's actually the fact that this forum is full of sensible people and not people who don't appear to have a clue about life in the real world and who expect everyone to agree with them even when they are obviously misguided.0 -
I've told you I don't get free food and its not a scam. So why are you taking their side? are you a supermarket worker? If a person is not a scammer they deserve to have a refund. There is no law on excessive refunds theres no such thing.
Even the supermarkets have no policy on excessive refunds.
As you asked for the record I have never worked for any supermarket or in any business connected to the supermarket trade.0 -

Yet you refuse to answer any questions people ask of you.
So do tell, when you phone up to complain, what do they say to do with the food?0 -

Well, obviously they do have such a policy as you have recently found out.
IMO, the whole problem stems from your unreasonable expectations of the foods you are buying from the supermarket concerned.
Just because something is too ripe, too soft, too bitter etc for your personal taste doesn't mean that it's not good quality, simply not suitable for you personally.0 -

Think you mean "deluded".0 -
You take advantage of the goodwill of anyone or any business and as you are now finding out, sooner or later that goodwill will come to an end
its not a goodwill. Its a right. Everything you buy should be satisfactorily. Just because all of you lot can't tell or dont care about the quality of your fruits and veg doesn't mean I should settle for your low standards.
Ive probably lost hundreds of pounds worth of food thats gone in the bin all because it was unfit and I didnt return it. Whos being scammed?0 -

Given you ring up and get a refund it wouldn't appear to be you that's out of pocket.
As others have said this shop is unable to provide you with the quality you want. Despite this you insist on being able to purchase substandard goods and claim a refund. That is a farcical situation that has to end.0 -

Im sympathetic.
Im sympathetic towards you as you seem unable to understand where your actions are potentially causing you problems.
Im sympathetic towards the supermarket for having to tell a customer they no longer want to serve them certain goods, i mean its got to be really really difficult for a supermarket no doubt with stakeholders to please, probably share holders demanding returns to turn around to a person whose supposed to provide that money and tell them not to bother.
There is a reason youre being targetted. Its not unfair either. You are being targetted because you are too expensive a customer. Thats the be all and end all. Im might be daft enough to waste my free time with you, retailers will only give you the time of day if youre worth something to them. Youre not. The simple solution is to make them need you more than you need them. Youre not doing.0 -

You pay peanuts, you get monkeys.
Choose a retailer that offers a more agreeable quality of goods.
I want you hand feed me grapes for 10p an hour. So youre going to feed me grapes right? No? But youre denying me my rights to return those grapes. Thats not fair.
See how riddiculous your argument is yet?0 -

They do provide the quality that is acceptable to me much of the time. I buy far more than I return. Is that not evidence?
Why would I profit from insisting on purchasing substandard food and returning it? If I take that product back, I am spending my time to go there and face humiliation just to get my money back. Thats not a gain its a loss.0
