consumer rights farce

I've already answered that. I don't do it for gain.
Fred, whatever you might think about your rights etc is pointless.
If the shop no longer want you as a customer that is the end of it.
They do not have to let you shop there anymore than you have to let joe public into your house.
Right or wrong your action have caused this and now you just have to live with their decision and move forward.0 -

The only farce is this thread.
OP is either tolling or has a mental illness and should seek help.0 -

Fred, are you one of those people who throws stuff away once it gets to a minute past midnight on the use by date ?:eek::eek:
Would it shock you to know that I eat Yoghurts that are 3 weeks past their sell by date ? My supermarket isn't allowed to sell them but they are perfectly fine to eat. What you are saying is absolute codswallop, how can food be "better than merely edible" ?
Use your senses when buying food, it's not difficult to tell when something is starting to deteriorate when it's still on the shelf. If you're throwing stuff away then you need to take more notice when you're shopping. This week all I have thrown away is half a bag of spinach which I bought last week. Everything else that was past it's best has gone into a pasta sauce which is now in my freezer.0 -

Over ripe, watery, no sweetness - basically gone off unfortunately.
Mushy and overripe, cant recommend
Really pale pink inside and not very nice flavour. Was expecting a lovely red watermelon.
should these customers that give 1 star ratings be banned too?
There are lots of customers like this in the real world.0 -
Because food should be enjoyable? Go on ocado or other online site to look at customers reviews. You'll see a range of different complaints.

If they receive refunds that Ocado deem excessive then yes they will also be banned.
Most people would shop elsewhere before it ever came to this though.
Ocado is also just available online and does not have any physical stores.
You on the other hand are selecting your produce yourself rather than being selected by an automated picking machine.0 -

They should look at the reviews and acknowledge its not a one off problem. They should be fined for false advertising if they claim their melons are fully ripe as some supermarkets do.You on the other hand are selecting your produce yourself rather than being selected by an automated picking machine.
They shouldnt be selling such poor quality fruit in the first place. Stop blaming me and start blaming the stores. They should be held to account.
A ban is a cop out. Its also disproportionate. How would you like it if you were fined 1 million pounds for dropping a single piece of litter?0 -

You are missing the point.
A small percentage of food that is sub standard will always slip through the net and end up being delivered to a store or left on sale when it should be removed.
Mistakes happen and shops will refund these items with no questions.
You on the other hand seem to be getting a very high proportion of bad products compared to the average shopper and quite rightly the store have chosen to look into exactly what and why you keep having to return things for a refund.
The store are actually doing you a huge favour by stopping you from shopping there as they are saving you all the inconvenience and disappointment you seem to repeatedly have with their products.
It is just a supermarket, 1 of thousands in the UK. you are free to use any of them until one of the stores no longer want your custom.
Each and every business can refuse to deal with you if they want. You have NO right to buy anything from them.
As has also been said you do not have any consumer rights unless you are a consumer. Not allowing you to use their store is not against any rights because you are not their customer (or consumer)
A change of mind refund is also NOT a consumer right, stores offer this as goodwill only and it cannot be enforced.
You are entitled to a refund if the gods are faulty or sold to you after their use by date but an apple is an apple whether it is red, green, bruised or oddly shaped. Nobody can guarantee or expect every piece of fruit to look smell taste and have the same texture or freshness as another piece of fruit.
Some people for instance like pears when they are soft and some like them when they are hard and crunchy (me) if i get a soft pair in amongst some hard ones the soft one is not faulty is it?0
