Its not "playing", and its arrogance to suggest otherwise.

    Whatever!

    Indeed - "whatever".
Please try to keep on topic for OPs, and not mislead them into thinking a simple letter to a judge to claim costs necessitates filing a county court claim.
I also notice you selectively quote and never the substantive parts. Quite telling.

And I have noted your frequent abuse of the apostrophe.

Please, stop this abuse of the apostrophe, it does you no favours.

They're hardly calling to check if you're in the best of health are they?  Ignore them and block their number!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Would it be worth it for Lupo26 to send them a letter telling them to cease and desist phone calls, all correspondence to be in writing and only in line with the court protocols, and their behaviour will be highlighted to the judge in court?

Yes, he/she could say during lockdown the phone is being answerd by either older/vulnerable family members self isolating, or children at home, and they MUST cease any contact by phone or text and note that this Defendant is not going to agree to settle and must not be harassed, pre-hearing.
