Okay so I've found out online that fees are waived for adjournments related to the virus :-)
I will complete an application when I receive the form from the court.

    Says this on hmrc website

In certain situations fees may be set aside (waived) for applications to adjourn civil and family hearings.

    Published 20 March 2020

The Lord Chancellor has authorised that in certain cases the fee can be waived for applications to adjourn a civil or family hearing.

From 19 March 2020 court staff may waive the application fee because of coronavirus (COVID-19).

HMCTS staff will consider the information provided, for example:

    • you have confirmed or suspected coronavirus (COVID-19)
    • you are self- isolating in line with NHS advice
    • you have childcaring responsibilities related to coronavirus (COVID-19)

That's really useful to know - thanks for finding and posting it.

Glad it is helping you as well.  You can download a N244 online.  No need to ask the court for a copy.  You should also add that when the adjourned case is listed for a hearing, you wish to remind the court that your local court centre is in fact xxxxxxxx and that you need a local mid-morning hearing if possible, due to childcare responsibilities (go into detail about available times of day, if it helps) and are not available during school holidays.

List whole weeks where you are not available or attach a N180 Directions Questionnaire again - download that too and send them together, naming your local court on the N180 again.

    Update
Sent application in for adjournment. They said will be vacated to after 4 Sept.
My question next is if it's still not at my local court can I adjourn again?

I doubt it and there is normally a fee to pay for adjournment.  If that area are only holding hearings at a certain centre now, you will not get a choice.

Okay. But if social distancing is still taking place in Sept I won't have anyone to look after my baby so would have to take her to court.

    That's not a problem.

Have you seen how informal a small claims court can be?
