Okay so just received a letter from the court saying this (see attachment) I sent an email to the email address stated in the letter so am confused as to what I've done wrong. I will find my email and post this also.

    Youve not done anythign "wrong"
Theyre technically correct that a formal application should be made
However changing courts should be sufficient for you to ask for the hearing to be vactaed until such time as your local court can hear it - as a consumer its your choice of court.

Do you get help with fees? Because if so an application is obvious.

This is feeling most stressful now. I'm already sleep deprived with a young baby. Would it be easier to say I'm symptomatic a week before the hearing? I don't know if I get help with costs but is this now going to cost me money?!!!

I've emailed the court asking for an adjournment form as there isn't one on the government website for that location. Is that correct? Any advice greatly received.

worst case scenario would be a phone hearing or a hearing "on papers" if they fail to do what you want

this pandemic has made everything uncertain, so do not expect certainty in our replies, we are in uncharted waters and its all at the whim of a judge, not us

Why is this not your local court?  How did that happen?

No, we are NOT telling you to fill out an application unless you qualify for help with court fees (easy to Google and you'll know in 2 minutes if your income and savings means you qualify or not).

It's not my local court as they aren't proceeding with hearings so they sent me a letter saying it's been moved to a different court with hearing date of 31 July.
