Has anyone received a new Select MasterCard Debit Card? Wondering if they will use the world elite logo to make it blend in with the card colour scheme
My replacement card was visa still but only has 18 months till expiry.

The Spanish one looks like this - so might be similar?

If it is like that then I think I'll cut up the 1980s gaudy retro style gold cards I've got and say they've been lost. The one you've shown reminds me a bit of the old CapitalOne World card that paid 2% cashback (oh happy days...), and while I'm not all that fussed about card aesthetics, the gold Santander ones are really quite naff  :s

Thanks, not a great look IMHO. The one that was posted before was basically the current UK version with the old MasterCard World Elite sign.

when you can get a  Revolut  Card with and until recently the N26 metal version with MasterCard World Elite imagery and as those basically do not offer much anyway, it should have been possible for Santander to do the same, or at least opt for a plain white version of the standard symbol.

my current Visa version expire 09/21 so won’t be in a hurry to swap it.

At least the Santander logo is more sensibly-sized. I hated the cards with huge Santander logos spanning the entire width of the card.

The gaudy old gold cards aren't the current Select cards - they are black like the mastercard version but Visa instead.  You'll probably get red ones when migrated across.

Does the appearance of a debit or credit card really matter? It's not an entry for the Turner Prize!!

    Not to me.

Though I do admit to hiding my M&S debit card behind my Sparks card as it (debit card) is an assault on my delicate sensibilities B)

Cahoot (another Santander brand) debit cards used to have unique arty designs. I don't know if they are still doing this with their cards but they would have stood more chance of winning the Turner prize.

Why are all the banks using MasterCard these days for debit cards?

Why are all the a small minority of banks using MasterCard these days for debit cards?
