As already discussed, simply mark the new Santander card as damaged (or lost) to get a Debit MasterCard plus the increased functionality in the app.

Not for Everyday accounts. They are still issuing VISA ones for these accounts.

I have an every day account and it was replaced with debit MasterCard when I ordered a replacement in the app.

I have an every day account and it was replaced with debit MasterCard when I ordered a replacement in the app. 

Glad I'm not special - my replacement Everyday Visa > Mastercard arrived this morning. All the advanced card functionality of the bank app now works and CASS account transfer seems to be apace with an ETA for early next week.

 I understand corn-based plastic substitute, but recyclED  PVC, IMO, is just marketing gimmick, not a "sustainable material".

That said, it's beyond me why some people pay so much attention to this piece of plastic. There are more important things in life than how your card looks.

Those are nice as well, but I haven't fully gotten on board with the portrait cards with information on the back so I'm happy with my current Santander and Nationwide selection, 2 of the only banks/building societies to not switch to portrait.

Those are nice as well, but I haven't fully gotten on board with the portrait cards with information on the back so I'm happy with my current Santander and Nationwide selection, 2 of the only banks/building societies to not switch to portrait.

I also don't like the portrait cards.  Dont who's idea was this.
