Mr Bean taught me one thing in life. Enjoy your own company instead of expecting someone else to make you happy.

The sun is a daily reminder that we too can rise again from the darkness, that we too can shine our own light.

Disobedience, in the eyes of anyone who has read history, is man's original virtue. It is through this disobedience and through rebellion, that progress has been made.

    Hi all:j

A Adventure - Out & about today visiting an NT property, was great & we will go again, it's only 30 mins away (given decent traffic).

G Get creative in the kitchen. DH wanted to finish off some of the YS curry so I just had beans on toast.

E Eat Beans Day is on the 3rd July. Duly eaten.

N NSDs Will go for low target as we are on holiday as well as DD this week & another week when she goes away later in the month. Today was another spend day so still 0/12 NSDs. This is set to continue for a week or so I think.

T Take care in the sun Was mostly inside at the NT property today.

[/COLOR]L Live on what is left Will do.

E Exercise -Exercise walking around at NT prop.

J July food days abound Fried Chicken (6th - try "Kissing' instead), French Fries (13th), Hot Dogs and Peach Ice Cream (17th - No not together), Caviar (18th) Daiquiris (19th). My favourites are Fresh Spinach Day (16th) Blueberry (8th) and Vanilla Ice Cream (23rd). Other Ice cream days are available. Use these as a jumping off point to add some summer fun to your meal plan. Will pick a couple of these.

O (H2)O Water fun. Dogs have made holes in their pool, not sure how to get them in otherwise as they are so large. May have an old plastic one somewhere lurking in the shrubbery. Still to locate. Only water is the amount drunk by me.

    G Geeks May struggle here.

T Think of those who are ill Both elderly uncles are now suffering from terminal illnesses. Do think of them often. Had email from elderly relative, seems OK.

H Help those in need. Will do my best.

R Relax. Have lots of books & projects to do so need to make a time each do to actually DO them. Did a bit of knitting today but need to get organised with projects now.

O Our Bodies Our Selves. Will deffo be doing this & am starting this week with a pamper day. Pampered self by putting on make up etc. More papering to do tomorrow.

U Useless On this, will take some to CS tomorrow. Am still sorting & binning.

G Get out and about: Out today to a place we've never been to but is quite near, even DH liked it.

H Half Year Review: Good idea & will work on this.

J Just a couple DH already looks like a combo of these two.

U yUo Took lunch with us & ate it there. Members of NT so no carpark or admission fee. Did have cup of tea in caf! & shared a piece of cake.

L Look at each purchase: Purchases were snacks in caf!, some plants & the car mending bill +MOT.
Y You should check in daily Here I am, hello folks!

    Evening everyone,
Quick update and sorry for absence yesterday. DD2 had an operation yesterday (planned) so we were out early and home late and she was in pain and distress so lots of tlc needed. Glad it's out of the way and hopefully all ok with the results etc.
Been a bit spendy as took DD2 for a coffee today and we had a short walk at a local NT place. WE both had suncream on. Also bought some food she fancied for lunch as she is building back her appetite after her op. At least we ate lunch at home rather than when we were out :)
I've walked about 6,000 steps today and mowed the lawn so that 's my exercise.
I've been reading most days and finding it good escapism.
Also had jac pot & beans for tea.
Gratitudes - NHS (grateful for this everyday as we've used it a lot); DD2 has lovely caring friends; DD1 having counselling which is helping her; nice colleagues at my PT role who said not to worry about work and concentrate on daughters.
    Nite all

  • Morning turtles,

I've managed to maintain my 100% record of NSD's so far. Although I am running out milk, which is integral to my morning coffee. In fact, I could probably hold off till my planned spend day of Saturday.

No plans to spend today either.

    Good morning,

today will be NSD 2. Got my salad for lunch and dinner is prepped. Last night I made the easy butter chicken from the bbc website and it was sooooo yummy. Plenty left for DH lunch tomorrow. Today he'll get a sandwich in work. So if he takes lunch tomorrow that would make 9 out 10 days :T for him.

Not much else to report today, have a nice day

Still on NSD 0, however, the new car key is getting stuck less, the kettle and coffee maker are descaled, most of the house is clean and tidy.

Speky - have you explored the Hope Valley? Edale/ Castleton and Kinder Scout, all easily do-able on a day trip even by train - about 40 minutes, and Glossop too. Between you and mothernerd I am now missing Manchester. We loved camping in Edale, had a good long weekend camping in Clitheroe too. Plenty of places round and about, even the Police museum! Manchester is a great place for a staycation.

So, NSD 0, a week today and the school run will be over for 6 weeks!

Oh I wish..... will need to have a word with OH though. DS needs to be in breakfast club by 8:30 before school or they shut. Now in holiday club it's more flexible. Trying to get OH out of the house though now so I'm not late for work is a struggle . He thinks because the kids are off there is no rush.....working on that one ;)
