Beans! I finally put some beans to soak tonight, so I can cook them in the slow cooker tomorrow. I was going to go out tomorrow, but in the last week I've had 2 days out in very hot weather, and I can't face a third, so I'm going out Sunday instead, its forecast to be much cooler round here.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Hi all:j
A Adventure No adventures today..
G Get creative in the kitchen. Created a quick Thai curry for supper, kitchen very hot. DH made lunch for us & visitor.
E Eat Beans Day is on the 3rd July. Duly eaten.
N NSDs Will go for low target as we are on holiday as well as DD this week & another week when she goes away later in the month. Today was another spend day so still 0/12 NSDs. This is set to continue for a week or so I think. Still on zero for NSDs
T Take care in the sun Not out today at all..
L Live on what is left Will do.
E Exercise Housework exercise today..
J July food days abound Fried Chicken (6th - try "Kissing' instead), French Fries (13th), Hot Dogs and Peach Ice Cream (17th - No not together), Caviar (18th) Daiquiris (19th). My favourites are Fresh Spinach Day (16th) Blueberry (8th) and Vanilla Ice Cream (23rd). Other Ice cream days are available. Use these as a jumping off point to add some summer fun to your meal plan. Will pick a couple of these.
O (H2)O Water fun. Dogs have made holes in their pool, not sure how to get them in otherwise as they are so large. May have an old plastic one somewhere lurking in the shrubbery. Still to locate. Only water is the amount drunk by me. Now have food diary so water can be logged. Not started yet, will start tomorrow.
G Geeks May struggle here.
T Think of those who are ill Both elderly uncles are now suffering from terminal illnesses. Do think of them often. Had email from elderly relative, seems OK. Friend came who has been ill, spent 4.5 hours here so must have enjoyed himself..
H Help those in need. Will do my best.
R Relax. Have lots of books & projects to do so need to make a time each do to actually DO them. Did a bit of knitting today but need to get organised with projects now. Knitted in car whilst DH had a meeting but forgot book. Little bit of TV knitting tonight.
O Our Bodies Our Selves. Will deffo be doing this & am starting this week with a pamper day. Pampered self by putting on make up etc. Only pampering was a shower & putting some make up on.
U Useless On this, will take some to CS tomorrow. Am still sorting & binning. None today.
G Get out and about: No outs today but DH said we are going to plan tomorrow to go out next week .
H Half Year Review: Good idea & will work on this.
J Just a couple DH already looks like a combo of these two.
U yUo All meals at home.
L Look at each purchase: Only food today.

If you do not make time for your wellness, you will be forced to make time for your illness.
To the girl (woman)(or man, sorry Speky) who hasn't been herself (himself) lately.
Your spark will return and you will shine like you were meant to, it's difficult when you catch yourself not being you.

The sun caught me yesterday. Overheated, sick headache, prickly at the back of my neck. Recovered at mum's - massaged my temples and other parts of my head, had a lie down on the bed without my dress on. Mum had made tea (using up bits and a jar of sauce) which was good because my decision making wasn't working.
Had a good sleep (tried to have another hour or two but nothing doing). Cloudy and muggy atm - hope it's going to break and have a good downpour. Easing into the day as today's my only chance for a lie in - going to church tomorrow and will put mum's partner's ashes in the garden of remembrance after and Monday have to be at the bus station before 7.45. Trying to think of packing hacks to make things simpler.

Paid £900 off the mortgage today too, first o/p I've ever done.
Are you on any of the mortgage-free in three (mfit) or 2019 mortgage-free wannabee's challenges? some of us on here are over there too. It is oddly addictive and it focuses the mind.

Made a dr appt to find out if I need HRT. Will be an easy fix if it is! Something is wrong, and I don't like the grumpy impatient lady chatting on inside my head.

I will be joining the naughty steppers. I have ordered some zero waste items and some sandals and a 500ml thermos for DH as the 1L one we have is just too big.
Need to go and get some dog food today and collect the flask so will nip into our two local towns.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Oh good because I've just been to Lidl and bought four packets of Antipasti that I didn't really need. Was half price though and I do like a nice antipasti. No excuse though! But I did get a YS chicken for dinner tomorrow. Small so there shouldn't be any left. I'm trying to educate Himself on portion control but it's an uphill battle. And, strangely enough, two bars of chocolate threw themselves into the trolly whilst I wasn't looking. Still, it was a four mile walk there and back, less then £10 spent and all today's meals are coming from the freezer. Really shouldn't need a lot this week so I'm hoping we'll have another surplus on the household budget this week.
Himself's birthday tomorrow. I've been nipping upstairs all day trying to wrap up his presents bit by bit. Should have done it earlier!
Oh well, it's the weekend. Time to relax. Please say yes. xxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
