Yesterday was mainly reading and sleeping. Slept quite well overnight but felt like having more. Had a shower, took my pills, ate breakfast and then felt myself drifting, put the mask back on and woke mid-afternoon.
Food was mostly ys bits (brought some of the things that needed eating first upstairs on Wednesday as I didn't know if I would be able to move). Brought the bins back, renewed all my library books (some due back whilst we are away). SFD acheived.
DS2 visited in the evening. He tried to imitate the noise I make in my sleep (after the loud snoring and sudden silence). Slightly more flattering than DS1's 'you sound like a warthog being attacked by a chainsaw' (sad but true). Brief skirmish over clothing etiquette (several fashion shots featuring blue suits and brown shoes). Turned the laptop off before 9 pm.
Grateful for hummus with mushrooms and celery, visit from DS2, the way my mood has risen (don't care if my weight shows an increase today because I can and will lose this fat).My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Oh I cannot begin to tell you how much brown shoes/ blue suit makes my brain itch. Especially the really shiny baby poo brown shoes. Nobody else in my house gets it. They think I am just odd, and don't even start me off on mankles.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Morning everyone,
Yesterday seen me extend my 100% record and notch number 4 of the month. Alas, today is the day I burst that bubble. Need to phone up and buy hospitality for my step dads 60th and since i've scuppered my NSD, I'll buy milk too. In fact, I may even do a big shop if I have time to do a shopping list.
Tomorrow I am taking a girl out on a first date, so I'll also not have a NSD tomorrow but hopefully well worth it.0 -

:rotfl::rotfl: I so get it. When I grew up the blue and brown combo was a big no-no. Like pink and red. It's bearable when it's jeans and those shoes but with a suit .
Mankles especially on skinny jeans on too big a guy or even combined with tennis socks. And who thought bringing bike short and baggy t-shirts back was a good idea. :rotfl::rotfl:
Oh and who would want to wear mum jeans ( the tapered high wasted carrot shape jeans from my youth) when they're called that.
These thing make me feel old but then I guess it's been 30 years and fashion comes in cycles of 20-30 years. We wore flares, lol
I probably just react like that because it remind me of the fashion faux pas we made in the 90's
Sorry fashion rant over (I keep forgetting my Doc Martin, low cut boot cut jeans and black t-shirt combo I've been wearing since 1996)

I'm so glad you understand what I mean. DS2 was talking about his friend's wedding. The bridegroom is only one of their group who's vertically challenged and their joint best friend said to DS2 that as they both tower over him normally, wouldn't it be funny if they wore top hats (but would then have to get proper morning suits).
He was 'well I can get a jacket on bay of e' and other options he can't afford (especially as he owes me money so I would effectively be buying them). He then showed me the fashion shot and I automatically responded with cant wear blue suit and brown shoes. He looked at me as though I had grown another head (as they do).
His phone said that black trousers with brown shoes was a no no (obviously) and also that you couldn't wear brown shoes in the city. He thought that meant if you worked in the city financial institutions and I said 'No, it meant that you only wore brown shoes in the country and they should be brogues'.
I threatened to set Serial Killer Mom on him (Kathleen Turner is killing off rivals on her daughter's sports team, in one case a woman 'wearing white shoes after Labour Day'). He kept insisting that they were workwear guidelines and I said 'No, because a wedding is an even more formal occasion'.
He tried to wind me up (admitted that he was doing it) by saying I had given him permission to go out and buying new black leather shoes, matching belt etc. so I said 'fine, stick with your football player chic and I'll carry on following the proper rules'.
Need to get ready and go to mum's. Exercise class this morning, then upstairs to collect my prescription and mum's blood form. Waited for my pills than did a trawl around the town shopping centre for a cardigan. 7.50 in the sale and another 10% off due to points on the loyalty card. Also bought the sun cream multi pack as it was 1/3 off. Still need hayfever pills, ibruprofen and go back to the cheapo shop for a sunhat but struggled to get home as it was. Most things I can scrape by on till after the holiday. Today's purchases will have to come out of the diy budget. Later turtles. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
My son and best man and ushers all wore blue with brown shoes and I was unsure too but on the day they all looked fab. Seems to be the done thing these days so our pre-conceptions from another era have to stay there. At least mullets hopefully won't come back!0

Worked today and I've been a right mardy beggar tbh. Have come home and carried it on for a bit too.
DD is back from her DofE, the campsite was appalling, like a tip, so I have left a terrible review to join other terrible reviews. She also lost our inflatable roll mat and spilt meths all over the inside of her bag:mad:, that didn't help my mood.
Stripped beds today (did DD's yesterday and got that lot out on the line before work), will wash later and hopefully line dry tomorrow.
DH returned some library books, called at Tesco and spent on snacks and also took advantage of the 25% off 6 bottles of wine, I normally buy 1 a week but do use this offer and then just drink it as normal.
Paid £900 off the mortgage today too, first o/p I've ever done.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Kery Woman -well done to your niece.
I claim my seat on the naughty stair - unless I'm using it to do some exercise... I have joined the gym + pool, starting it from Mon, and have my gym induction on Mon at 9am. I'm so excited!
Today I am grateful for earning some extra money, for dd learning so much with the cycling prof people - there were only 3 pupils in today's level 3 group, for the tennis, for the neighbourhood being peaceful, for all the birdsong, for a trip to town so that dd could seek out a present for a party tomorrow (Cla1re's - not the cheapest! But we got 5 items for £5 plus some hairclips), for finding out that acc3ssorise do ear piercing for less than half the price of cla1res.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
