I spoke to Begbies Traynor this morning and was advised they were in discussions about getting access to case notes with software / hardware provider to Aedis. This was expected by next week and then they would start sending case notes directly to the relevent local authority.
Hope this helps0 -
Hi
Yes I spoke to some one at Begbies Traynor yesterday and he seemed very confident they would be able to transfer all site inspection notes to the local authority. He looked up our case and found it which was reassuring. He said they just needed to purchase some software to do this and it should all be in place by next week0 -
Got the email from the liquidator today confirming we are now creditors and very unlikely to get our money back so sad for everyone who's lost money I for one haven't got a spare £800 laying around to pay again! I'm hoping the LABC will charge accordingly once they have the notes as I only require a final sign off. Its difficult getting advice as all local authorities seem to be taking a different approach. Good luck everyone 😬0

Having worked in the corporate recovery, administration and liquidations area, I can tell you secured creditors and professional fees will swallow up anything in the bank.
There will be a creditors meeting called at some point. I hope that the liquidator looks at all transactions in the months leading up to insolvency including intercompany, director and connected parties.
I also hope they review the case of trading fraudulently and insolvent especially for monies taken in the dying days.
In fact, they should do this as part of the fiduciary duty.
All creditors should scrutinise the fees involved as often the liquidator "signs their own cheques", count the votes and run the whole show. This is a considerable system risk which can lead to a screw job on creditors to get resolutions through on fees."enough is a feast"...old Buddist proverb0 -
Still not a single apology from Aedis HQ who knew long ago we wouldn’t be getting our money back.
Classless cowards. They’ve handled it terribly. Not their fault this occurred but there has been zero consideration to all the thousands who have given them cash for nothing.0 -
It is their fault it happened. Insurance was removed and that doesn't happen overnight.0

Sounds like you are saying they chose to not be given insurance.
And are you suggesting they fraudulently kept taking peoples money whilst knowing months in advance they would not be getting insurance, and knowing clients would never get their money back?
They’ve handled it badly but I don’t think they engineered this.0
