Nothing planned for today apart from gardening - and it's raining, so that isn't going to happen. So I've decided to have a day out (well, an afternoon out).
I don't live far from Shibden Hall (of Gentleman Jack fame) - I've been meaning to go and visit for the last 6 years!! I think today might be the day. It's only £5 to get in, and I've had an early lunch so won't need to buy anything there. And it's indoors, so the rain won't matter! No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0 -
Afternoon all

Sunny here, hottest day this year so far (sorry Trailingspouse
)
OH and I did a big house clean this morning, much needed!
Second load of washing out to dry
Watered some of the garden pots, must do some more in a minute!
Supermarket shopping, also went to the butcher's and bought one of his bargain bbq packs as I am noticing gaps in the freezer, and that will never do :rotfl:
Used Nectar points to buy a new bath mat, as mine seem to be going into holes and moulting in the washing machine  I will use the old ones until they need washing again and then throw them out. No point giving to the CS, as nobody wants to buy old bathmats with holes in!
Off to DD2's for a bbq shortly, so no cooking needed today

Like trailingspouse it has been wet here and cool. We decided to put the fire on, perfect for days when you don't need to heat the whole house, but want to take the chill off so it's comfortable to sit around. As you would all expect we have had the kettles on top for free hot water.
Today I've had a NSD, OH on the other hand has spent a fortune (all budgeted for) buying materials for our next DIY project.
Today we have:
PAD
Correctly delivered survey
B/L/D from stores
Home educated the children for free
Started a wholesale order
Washed my hair and let it dry naturally
Booked chimney sweep to come in June, he does a discount for summer bookings
Started meal plan for the next 16 days, I've currently done 8 daysFashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
79.5 coupons rolled over 4/75.5 coupons spent - using for secondhand purchases
One income, home educating family0 -
Morning
another beautiful day here in the SE
Not sure what our plans are today. I want to try to relax, I've been pushing myself to do lots of stuff at the moment and think I need a chilled day. We've put our hot tub up so whatever happens it will involve a dip
Going to meet ds and his gf at the bootfair. I'm lending him my car until Thurs. It will involve a bit of a faff for me but where I'm working tomorrow I can catch the bus and I'm not back at work proper until Friday so won't be too bad....
Hopefully my neighbour will drill the hole for washing line. I will do some washing to celebrate
dye my hair :j
get madam's stuff ready for school tomorrow. Check school meal and make pl if it's nothing she likes
walks with pup
do another hour packing up/preparing madam's bedroom. Definitely will be filling, sanding & sugar soaping walls tomorrow :T
take some photos of things and list on facebay for free so as not to send to landfill
more use-it-ups going on
ok that is all. Better get moving!DF as at 30/12/16

So had a very not so MSE 2 days - but all spending was carefully planned and hopefully will turn out good results in time:
Paid for driving test £ 62- so by the end of July I should have a shiny new UK license which will get me a better car insurance deal in time and also a bit of Brexit issues then sorted.
Paid membership of running club and stadion access £85 = £1,63 a week and this includes 3 potential sessions, keeping me fit and sane. So a good deal if you aske me.
£52+£22 for prom shoes and shirt not a good deal but nice stuff and he pays for a lot of his own clothes through the year so actually within budget.
And yesterday was a rare designated family trip day to the beach this includes 6 hours of driving including getting uni boy and dropping him back off, a lot of walking in AONB area (17000 steps - even though somebody clearly stated - I am not going walking), packed lunch and a lovely F&C meal for £26, so again could not have been done much cheaper, everybody was tired, happy, a bit sun burned, and a but too full, so I would say money well spent. And a good distraction before last run of exams.
I will now be back on the MSE train for the rest of the month big time starting with a NSD and No Drive Day (NDD) today.
Sorry to those in the cold north, it is very warm here - even now in the morning.
To do today
-cook chicken for 2-4 meals
-tidy
-weed front
- clean car
- sort photos from yesterday
- dye hair
walk dog
- plan more bulk buying to drive grocery bill down
Have a lovely cheap day x

Morning folks!
Sounds like lots of lovely things going on. It was a bit of a nothing day yesterday. OH didn't wake up until after midday! We went and got the shopping and I did a bit of batch cooking. Managed to only buy what was on the list. I have recently rejigged my shopping budget slightly as our protein requirements are pushing us over budget.
I'm in work today and OH is shooting a promo video with his band.

Morning all
Just a quick hello from me
I'm in the middle of marking exams so at the moment my days consist of work, eat, sleep and very little else. Had to pop to Aldee for bread and milk yesterday but that's been about it.
Did have a minor spendy day on Friday as I took the kids out for lunch, but other than that half term has been a bit of a wash out. It's been cold and raining for most of it.
More of the same today except I also need to get ready for the three of us going back to school tomorrow, so I'd best be getting on with something.
Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control
