    Evening all :)
Cold and rainy here today, but the garden needs the rain, so I shouldn't complain!
Still recovering from our weekend away (went to a festival, too many late nights) plus DD2 turned up with kids this morning, so not a great deal achieved:
    Last brown banana for breakfast
Started shopping list, but managed to avoid actually going, so nothing spent :D
Made a quick loaf in the BM

Chopped up and froze a big bag of rhubarb
Cut garlic scapes (in the rain) and put in bag in fridge, googled for ideas to use them other than stir fry!

Made a spinach and feta pie
Walked dog twice in gaps between rain episodes - free exercise
Collected wormer and flea treatment from vet's while out on dog walk #1. No additional cost as it comes included in pet club membership.
DD2 bought some eggs from her hens and ducks with her :D
Watered basil seedlings that I potted up yesterday
    Watered chillis
Burgers left over from the weekend for dinner, with HG salad leaves and other items from fridge :)
Not too bad an effort, no gardening though, due to the weather :(

The word victuals is highly underrated :D

    I agree :D

I managed my list with the exception of the spending diary : I will roll that over to tomorow.

Ziggy I haven't read a Val McDermid book in years, thanks for the reminder, I off to check out the library and see if I can request a copy.

  • Evening everyone, been a long day in work and then spent some time this evening doing a bit of my PT work at home. But has been a rare NSD! Ate all food from stores. Managed to dry some washing on the line this morning and DD1 remembered to bring it in off the line before she went out and it rained :) Did another UGov survey. Refused to put the heating on even though my feet are freezing - off to bed with a hot water bottle :) Dx

    Morning all :)
Early post this morning as I am off to a local-ish market to do some shopping.
Babysitting little GS for a couple of hours later, so not much else will get done!
    So far:
Shrivelled apple for breakfast as I don't have much fruit left
    Checked banks and updated diary
    Still to do:
Make a cake later - I have loads of eggs! And no cake
    Clean bathroom

Fold and put away washing (hoping there is nothing that needs ironing lurking in there!
Some gardening if the weather is ok after GS goes home

Spinach pie made yesterday for dinner later :)

    Morning folks!

Dawn - is that the delicious sounding spinach pie that you shared the recipe for a while back? What time should I be round for dinner? ;)

It's my "Saturday morning" today and for once we don't have any prior plans! I'm trying to get better at posting on my weekend as on my week days I work 8.00 - 6.30 and I'm out the house 45 mins either side of that so I can't do much interesting stuff.

I got some lovely charity shop bargain yesterday. Spent £13 and came away with 3 dresses and 2 tops. One dress was from next and still had the tag in. One of the tops was a fat face vest top that looked a bit weird when I tried it on, but I took a chance that it was the weird piece of ugly feature lace that was tacked onto the front. Channelled my internal DNMS and unpicked it as soon as I got home. Hunch turned out to be correct :)

    Here's today's plan:
:heartpuls B/L/D from stores - done
:heartpuls See if OH can replace broken drainpipe hopper - nope. Will return hopper (£8 saved) but will have to let LA know. urgh)
:heartpuls Nip to yarn shop to get supplies for baby blanket. Am 1 ball of yarn short from stash! - done
:heartpuls Possibly go foraging for elderflowers and make cordial
:heartpuls Endless washing piles... washing on 30 degrees, reduce spin, dry outside - done
    :heartpuls No alcohol
    :heartpuls Check PMP - done
:heartpuls End of month budget sheet - done. Better than expected
:heartpuls Top up hair colour with pots given to me for free by hairdresser. Roots are now a travesty but my bright pink colour is so expensive, I can't justify it in my heart of hearts with buying the new shed. - done
:heartpuls Make some energy balls - done

Will add more if I think of it

    Have a good one all
