Looks like I didn't get it - they said we'd find out within 48 hours, and that was up at about 3:30 this afternoon. Hey ho. On with the next one.
If anyone needs me, I'll be feeling sorry for myself over here...
hold your horses. I once received a letter 6 weeks after an interview informing me I had been successful

determined - that's exactly what three people have told me today!! Everyone has tales of either job offers that came later than expected, or examples where someone went for one job but was offered a different one.
But I'm happy that I made a good fist of the interview itself, so if I'm not what they're looking for then that's fair enough. Would like to know who is looking for someone like me though...No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0 -

Cut more salad leavesMorning all
Early post this morning as I am off to a local-ish market to do some shopping. Big bag of fruit and veg for £5
Babysitting little GS for a couple of hours later, so not much else will get done! Done, managed to keep him happy
So far:
Shrivelled apple for breakfast as I don't have much fruit left
Checked banks and updated diary
Still to do:
Make a cake later - I have loads of eggs! And no cake  Done, made a jam and coconut sponge
Clean bathroom Not done
Fold and put away washing (hoping there is nothing that needs ironing lurking in there! Done, no ironing :T
Some gardening if the weather is ok after GS goes home Watered seedlings planted out yesterday, pulled out a few weeds and going- to-seed aquilegia (sp?) plants - these seed themselves everywhere, which I like, but I do pull out particularly tatty looking ones. Started to trim the pear tree (some of my trees are minaret ones, which require summer, rather than winter pruning)
Spinach pie made yesterday for dinner later
Pulled the first spring onions
carrielovesfanta wrote: »Morning folks!
Dawn - is that the delicious sounding spinach pie that you shared the recipe for a while back? What time should I be round for dinner?
Yes, that is the one - and I always feed anyone who appears at dinner time
Have you tried making it yet? It is really easy, doesn't take long, and frozen spinach works just as well as fresh - Iceland's is cheap
Great charity shop bargains btw! I bought a nice Marks and Spencer dress today for £1. Not sure if it will fit me atm

Non mse, noting it here so I get it done:
Dust ALL of the house done
Sweep/vacuum ALL of the house done
Clean OH blood of the freshly painted wall done
Well I managed everything, I had to force myself to dust and sweep but the thought of coming on here and confessing to everyone made me get it done.
We normally only manage small overpayments, I imagine future payments will be a slow drip. We can not make another overpayment until January, so 7 months to try and build up some funds.determined_new_ms wrote: »BB yay to mortgage over payment :j I need to do mine but it's more a drip drip process and nowhere near the max amount we are allowed for the year!carrielovesfanta wrote: »
Erm? Is this murder most foul?!
Thankfully not, but 4 places on a white wall  what was he playing at. As we didn't notice immediately I decided to wait a couple of days to see if that would reduce the amount of paint leaving the wall, I've no idea if it did, but the wall looks lovely again

Morning PF - I've been awake since 6:15, and up since 6:30 (if 'up' includes sitting in bed drinking tea...)!
Need to get up and get on. Today's jobs are -
- get to Aldi PDQ as I'm all out of bread and milk
- meeting at work at 9:30
- take delivery of my shiny new compost box. I've wanted one for a while, but as all I've got is a small front garden I wanted a small one that would also look nice, and I've finally found one (and at a sensible price!). It will need assembling, and I need to clear the space where it's going to go - so that's the afternoon sorted out. And I'll be able to compost my kitchen scraps and garden waste and (hopefully) make my own compost. All good. I happened to have enough money in my PayPal account to cover it, so I feel like it hasn't cost 'real' money.
- edf have promised some sort of resolution to my smart meter issue by today, so we'll see. They know I will be raising a formal complaint if we're no further forward by the end of today.
- need to ring my credit card company as my PIN has been blocked. I've got my debit card, so I'm not without 'plastic', but I get cashback on my credit card, so losing out every time I can't use it.
- tonight is pizza night. I buy a pizza and then cook half/freeze half. It's my Friday night treat. Cajun chicken tonight, with a side salad and a glass of something alcoholic (from stores).
The weather is improving - enjoy!!No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0 -

it is totally exciting. However it is where my oh is from so it is somewhere we try to go every couple of years. It has been 3 years since we were last there - for a month - as I started my job last year and didn't want to take a long period off of work.
spoke to them and I can book
