Ditty, Sounds like you've got a great day planned!
Clf, fab charity shop finds.
:waves: to all.
Todays weather looks a bit better then yesterdays were it didn't completely stop raining til late last night.
Todays plans are still just pottering around, ds2 is going to a friends for the afternoon but other then that, no firm plans.
* payday so money shuffling needs doing and updating cashbook
* ys bagels for breakfasts again
* make a chicken curry to use up various veggies in the fridge/freezer
* clear off all the kitchen counters and give them a good scrub, ds1 dropped some hot chocolate powder yesterday morning and thought he'd cleaned it up but everything feels sticky to me.
* water pots, I know we had a lot of rain yesterday but the flower pots next to my front door seem to miss it!
* clear the hallway (not mse but if its on my list it will be more likely to get done!)
Thats it for now, take care all.Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

Today:

* staying at home as have footstall being delivered today
* once it comes will take madam to the park
* bake a cake with madam - we also have no cake Dawn :eek:
* do money shuffle
* pack up madam's room - today it is happening!
* ask next door neighbour if he will drill a hole in our exterior wall so we can put up washing line finally!
* plants out to harden
* pot on plants

Morning Campers,
A bright breezy day now that the murk has burnt off. Not a wildly exciting day planned,but here are the frugal bits:
*Leftover lentil bolognese out of freezer for tonight's meal. Will do use-it-up cheese on top plus salad.
*Make tomorrow's packed lunch & extra snacks as mr f is out of county on a professional get together.
*Supplied mr f with recycled envelope for his letter to the DVLA. There's been a c*ck-up somewhere along the line with the paperwork concerning our change of vehicle back in Feb, but it's certainly not an error on our part.
*Wrapped a parcel for my sister in recycled paper - mr f will post at same time, which saves me a trip into town, as still haven't used village post office since storming out of there in a strop last year.
*Free fitness - am doing a fitbit steps challenge with mr f today. he does loads of steps so I need to up my efforts shortly. have already been for a brisk walk around the village. Will do my own dancercise/aerobics-ish routine later too.
*Plant out the last tray of rudbeckias which I grew from free seed.
*Tie in ghouse tomato plants again & feed tomatoes & cucumbers. Seaweed for sulky aubergines.
*Ironing - bah to that! But have sorted it thoroughly & will only be doing those items which really do need it.
*Do meals plans for next week.
*Start shopping list.
*Think about a low cost or free outing for the weekend. Quite happy to take a picnic.
*Cut a bunch of winter savoury for tying & drying.
*Sow more radishes & plant out another squash plant.
*Free entertainment doing some of the Springwatch Garden wildlife surveys which I think is a great citizen science project. Shall enumerate birdy visitors over the next 5 days.
*Freeze leftover tortilla wraps.
*Update DFW diary.
*All of June's birthday cards sourced from my stash.
I mustn't sit here too long sit here too long or my Beloved will be racking up his steps & I'll get way behind in our challenge.
Cheers all,

Hi all,
So after disappearing for another couple of weeks while I spent a lot of money, I've reviewed the budget spreadsheet, emptied out all the online shopping baskets, and would love to return to the fold if you'll have me?
I sold my car, paid off a loan and got a bit overexcited. I now have a replacement car (and replacement loan), so net position isn't great. But was fully on that old "I deserve it" road... as if a new-to-me car isn't enough of a treat!
However, I was saved from the expensive new dress by my broad shoulders not fitting it :rotfl:, and some of what I have been buying has been presents for birthdays later in the year... but yes, I've had a few treats (a book here, a candle there etc etc...). And bought some storage, because I reached my breaking point with the existing cobbled-together set up. I love my new cupboard, really I do.
I've decided to take June off alcohol, well actually I'm trying not to drink since last Sunday - going ok so far. I think it's necessary.
Today's list:
- make meal plan and list for rest of week
- take clothing bags to clothing bank
- no alcohol
- walk dog
Hope all well with all of you

whoop! I've made £90 selling 2 items just sat in the garage doing nothing :j all proceeds of sale going towards cost of doing madam's bedroom. Wouldn't it be great if it was cost neutral?! :money:DF as at 30/12/16

Well, thanks for all your good wishes re the job.
Looks like I didn't get it - they said we'd find out within 48 hours, and that was up at about 3:30 this afternoon. Hey ho. On with the next one.
If anyone needs me, I'll be feeling sorry for myself over here...No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0 -
Sorry to hear that Trailingspouse, I remember that feeling

But onward and upward, their loss, and there will a better job out there waiting for you
