I mean I've crashed over on the sofa or a camp bed at friends' houses before, and there have been others of different sexes crashed over too, but it's usually been after something like a night out clubbing, not termed a "sleepover"...

@Pollycat Okay maybe sleepover isn't the right word but I live too far away from all my friends who just happen to be male and no its not a condom situation haha I just want to go see my friends but as I have to travel super far I want to spend more than a day there and obviously will need to sleep somewhere. I only get to see my friends twice a year so thought it would be nice for once if I could stay longer. It's a shame the world has come to a point where everything is about situ that have come to do with condoms :/

    OK.
    That gives it more context.
You want to go to see friends who live too far away to do it in one day.
The friends are of the opposite sex.

    Your boyfriend 'won't allow' it.

Do you have a history of cheating?
Has your boyfriend been cheated on in the past and is therefore insecure in your relationship?
    Doesn't he know these friends?
Couldn't he tag along or don't you and/or your friends want him there?

    I'll say it again:

If they are, whilst I (sort-of) understand your boyfriend's concern, do you really want a relationship with someone who 'won't allow' you to do something you want?

FTR - I wasn't the poster who mentioned condoms.
If your initial post had been more clear (and not used the word 'sleepover'), it wouldn't have generated the responses it did.

Pollycat, I'm not sure you're being fair by asking the OP "do you really want a relationship with someone who 'won't allow' you to do something you want?" because the partner is uncomfortable with a 'sleepover' with people of the opposite sex?

You could apply this to literally anything; just this week 'I didn't allow' my partner to spend £300 on a footstool - I guess she should be reconsidering our relationship? You've also given no regard to the partner. How many people on this thread could honestly say they'd be 100% comfortable with their partner having a sleepover with friends of the opposite sex? I'd wager you're likely the only one (and even then I doubt in reality you would).
If I were in his shoes I wouldnt mind I'd be happy he's going to see his friends.

Oh yeahhhhhhhhhhhh, I would love to see this actually play out.
