What risk did you envisage with a current model? There’s no real danger of a lack of support with current models, the issue is with future models. That’s been confirmed by Huawei and Google.

I’ve just received the 9.1 update and July security patch on my P20 Pro and Huawei have already announced it will get Android 10.

I have had my P30 lite for 4 months and I am delighted.
As mentioned before any issues will relate to NEW models.
Frankly this is a typical Trump madness and having a Huawei shows, as is normal to say nowadays, “I am taking control”
