  • Hi, I bought a P30 Pro a few months ago, fantastic phone - great camera, battery and so fast, no issues at all.
Saw this tweet from Huawei and looks like everything is going to be fine - Android updates wise. twitter.com/HuaweiMobileUK/status/1141648146851868673

Does anyone think that there will actually be problems with all the news in mind?

I have been working internally for an IT firm for some time now and we have never been questioned on installing Huawei Pro Internet kit at customers since the ban came into force. And the company I work for does 10-15 installs a week?

According to recent news, Trump said he can overcome the trade restrictions on Huawei but no one knows how. I am also looking to know will Google remove the ban ?

Trump would need to sign another executive order removing them from the US Entity list.

I bought a Huawei P30 lite recently. It represented great value for money.
Very fast, great sound, wonderful camera.
I am delighted with my purchase.
Trump is just playing games with Chine. Hopefully he will wake up.

Does anyone know what the latest with this is? I can't seem to find much on the current status.

I was going to buy a Huawei phone as they are currently very well priced. Obviously don't want to buy something that will become rendered useless in a couple of months!

Far too much of a risk still. I managed to get a refund on my otherwise excellent Huawei and changed back to Samsung. The outcome of all this is still unclear and relations between Trump and China are deteriorating.
