Thanks for mentioning cheese :D. I used to eat camembert and brie and haven’t bought (or eaten) any since starting SW halfway through Jan. But I guess with a bit of planning there is no reason why I shouldn’t be able to fit some into my meals/snacks . I have been concentrating on all the Free stuff we are allowed to eat, and was so pleased as there is so much to choose from, so to be honest I haven’t really missed the cheese. But it is reassuring to know it can be reintroduced :T.

Love this thread, still learning every day, thank you!

Hi everyone just catching up on some past post over last couple of days.
I am going to get me one of those PON books, so many in group talk about it, did look at site online - but they seem to be both SW and WW which confuses this old bird.

One of you mentioned Target weight, years ago the idea of target weight was daunting, that why SW when I joined this time was great, the leader said I could do target goals and then move on etc, it really kept me motivated, unlike years ago when you joined WW and they told you your goal weight.

Today I lost another 2lb and got slimmer of the month.:T

B chopped apple mixed berries and yog
L 4 slices boiled ham, toms beets and radish br bread
D Tuna steak, asparagus, mushy peas and couple new pots

later may have hi bar or low jelly
HEA and HEB tsp butter 2 syn
    :T:T:T:T well done

    Evening all
I love the idea of being able to set your own target with SW. My target at the moment will mean I’m still in the obese category, but means I will fit into my wedding dress! When I hit my original target I had people telling me I looked ill and was far too thin- and that was 14.5 stone! When I briefly deviated to WW (never again) I was told I would have to go to 10 stone as that’s what they deemed ‘healthy’ for my height and I told them bluntly that if I hit that i wouldn’t be back as I would be in hospital! No-one batted an eyelid at SW when I said I just wanted to get to 16.5 stone so my wedding dress would fit which was great- I know that’s not a hugely healthy weight but there’s nothing to stop me carrying on once the wedding is out the way.
What a day I’ve had  Blooming assignment
it’s gone now though. And there will be wine syns this evening!!!
    Today’s menu:
B: HEXB HIFi x 2, Apple, peach, decaf coffee with HEXA
L: Chicken, rice (1.5 syns) sugar snaps, baby corn, carrots. Skinny Whip bar (4) water
T: PON Moroccan spiced salmon, chips and salad. Blueberries and yoghurt (1)
    WINE SYNS :D (7)
S: 4 Broghies (4) with Heck sausages (2) and onions, cup of hot milk (HEXA)
    Syns: 19.5
Well done on SOTM Vegastare x

Quark will take on the flavour of whatever you add to it. So can be quite useful to add to some pasta with added garlic and herbs which I have often done.

Thanks for that TTD. It's good to know that you're certainly not going hungry. :D

Not sure why you drain the mince, because if you're having 5% then the minimal fat is accounted for.

That's interesting about switching syns on and off to aid metabolism. I've heard people say that if they have a really off plan session then it can shake them up. but if it works for you I'm not knocking it. :)

That's a good idea about the cheese when you get to target. You'll be able to buy a piece of cheese, work out the total syns and then know how many syns that's added to your week. I looked up camembert (one of my favourites) and it's 35 syns for the 250g pack so that's not too bad at all across a week. You'd maybe need some crackers (Finn crisps or melba toasts are low syn as are water biscuits) and then you could pad it out with grapes or pickled onions. Not sure if that's a good idea to be eating that in the middle of the night though!!

Can't be too far off target now?:)
i drain the mice off of any fats as I have always done it ever since I was a boy making my
Own spagbol I give it a squeeze drain out and it’s so compacted it stays in a block till stirred, i all add in all my herbs etc then as it not washed away in the fat and you benefit from a flavourful meet afterwards. It will improve any spagbol sauce made Guaranteed.

I like phillidelphia soft cheeses so will be packing in variety.

It’s not good to be synning through the night so I’m saving those syns at the moment specifically to protect me. I’m really focused this week in getting down close to a new weight bracket. I’ve got 1st 2 1/2 left to target and a mini target doe next week 2 1/2 to get into 10st bracket.

I love cheese...and crackers mostly but I tend to just stick to the cheese at the moment.

I use Aldi's extra mature cheddar for a healthy extra and it's got such a lovely strong flavour that I feel like I'm getting a lot of cheese for my money.

It is the fat free yog I use. I checked to make sure I was using the syn free version.

    Body Magic done.

    Food for today:

B: eggs, fat free natural yog, mixed berries, hi-fi bars (HEB)
    L: Chilli & rice
T: Keema curry, rice, salad (lighter than light mayo 2 syns)

HEAs for milk and vanilla yog (1 syn) and hi-fi bar (3 syns) with a cuppa later tonight probably.

    Well done Vegastare!

    Evening everyone.

    Todays menu
    B bacon, egg, mushrooms
L (a bit snacky, but I knew I wouldn't last!) Banana, orange, 1 meringue nest with 0% greek yogurt and a drizzle of caramel sweet freedom syrup, my new favourite
D Steak, Jersey Royals, (super 6 in Aldi and beautiful),carrots, green beans, grilled tomatoes and onions
Syns for the meringue and syrup and a little spread on the potatoes.
HEA1 is always milk in tea and coffee, I don't always have HEA2 unless I'm using cheese, HEB - might have an Alpen Light later on.

The PON spinach and Ricotta cannelloni, made as a lasagne was delicious but a lot of cheese for one meal (that'll take care of todays HEB2!) - I might adjust the quantities when I make it again.

Weigh in tomorrow so fingers crossed....
