hi everyone, been beautiful weekend so I have got lots of washing line dried. Also finally potted up some tubs with pansies etc I bought ages ago, they look lovely; also tidied the garden a little yesterday. I bought YS avocado in Mr A & a new bin which was on sale - ours was literally broken with sharp bits of plastic that stabbed me when I lifted it up to clean etc! Having most meals from stores but off to see Take That tonight so will need to spend on petrol and snacks..... Bought tickets last year (on CC) before the CC went away and I tried to live an MSE life. Have a good day everyone and hope you can enjoy some sunshine wherever you are DxxLBM - October 2018; finally debt free on 16 March 2021

I love the bootfair! I got madam some really cute summer bits for £7, including a summer school dress, and a Klimt framed picture that is perfect for our newly decorated lounge & a filler knife both 50p.
I reckon I saved about £30 had I bought them new
I think our lounge re-dec has only cost £55 as we have used things we already had or got things really low cost. I think that's pretty economic!DF as at 30/12/16

Hmm walked past an art sale and boot fair ... and didn't see anything that made me stop. These things needs to be quite big or quite curated to have an impact.
Determined ... great work on lounge ... I did mine pretty much for a pot of paint I bought last year and a poster my son got me in france in a recycled ikea poster frame ... it looks good but curtains ... want to do shibui but the cost of the materials is actually quite dear. And re stuff and colour a leather couch ... I haven't quite had the guts to turn it upside down yet to see if it's possible. But thats for the summer ...
Am not doing very well on the DFW front; have already spent £45 on groceries this weekend, and am quite sure I'll have to go shopping again by Tuesday or Wednesday as we have been 3 all weekend and as exams are now happening I have started buying a lot of fruit and vege to make us all a bit more healthy, but it does add up.
I keep checking everything and I'm pretty much coming in on budget but am still recovering from having paid a very big bill this month, before I really have a lot of money in my budget account. I had some grants to apply for to do a bit of creative work, but deadlines keep passing while I sit and worry over my spreadsheets. I'm hoping it will lighten, I am aiming to keep it to 2 evenings a week for financial checks and balancing and also to keep shopping and spending to one or two days a week, just to keep it simple. SO basically in principle there should be a spending day every week, and then the default should be NSD days!
Not sure If I can pull that one off though.
Finally turned heat off yesterday, hopefully for the summer.
Have not used dryer since around or before Easter.
Did a lot of driving for short trips this weekend, but hopefully car sharing tomorrow.
Cooked us a lovely cauliflower and chicken curry yesterday that was yummy and fed the 3 of us easily, and made lovely smoothies this morning from frozen vege.
SO have a great week and see you on the next thread.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Evening all

Gorgeous sunny day today - at last :T
Itching to get all those plants in the greenhouse and conservatory out, but we are forecast a few more cold nights - not down to zero, but still pretty cold, so will aim to do this towards the end of the week
Went to 2 boot sales this morning, and was quite lucky with regard to finding items to sell on. Only spent £1 of 'my' (as opposed to my business's) money, on a rotary grater and a dog bowl.
Walked dog when we got back
All food from home - did sausages with mixed root veg mash, cabbage and onion gravy for dinner
Did a load of washing late afternoon and have another load in the machine now. I will be pegging it outside to dry tomorrow morning
Made a loaf in the BM
Watered seedlings in greenhouse
Got the car loaded ready to restock my sales unit tomorrow morning
Listening to free music on my phone - a DJ friend shares her mixes on FB
