What small DFW things will you do w/c 13th May?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important! :money:

Morning all from a very sunny Derbyshire
Hubby away with work for the next few days so that will cut down on water and energy consumption in the house
:)
Today:
* breakfast and lunch from stores for me and the kids
* I did promise the small ones a treat for tea after my daughters dance class
* enjoy some craft time later as I don't have to tidy it all away with hubby being away
* check banking and update ss
* washing done before work and on the airer as I don't like leaving it out all day when I'm at work
* small shop at Mr T's for a couple of essential bits that I forgot. At least no 'diet' food to buy this week
* flick round with the duster and polish later
* change daughters bedding after her sickness bug last week
* charge phone at work if it needs it
* check for surveys although I don;t seem to be able to complete many on works computer
Have a great day all

Morning all,
Thanks Pf for the the new thread.
Ziggy, glad you are feeling better and well done on your weight loss, enjoy your massage!
Hope everyone else is well.
I'm feeling brighter in myself today, think its a mixture of sunshine, a great gym class this morning and a good nights sleep!
Lots done already but still lots to do today
Here goes...
* ys bread for dss breakfasts done
* refill water bottle at the gym done
* wash two loads on the quick 30 degree wash done
* hang out on the line to dry done
* change a blood test appointment for ds2, from tomorrow which would involve a lot of hanging around after his first appointment (more chance of being nagged into costalots for a cake) to a day in half term which suits me better. done
* text my mum to see if she can change a £20 note for change - need the change for carpark tomorrow done
* book dh's car in for service and mot - if I book online its cheaper done
* update ds2s health book for his appointment tomorrow done, highlights a more positive tread too which was great!
* take a bag of stuff to the charity shop (have a quick look at the book section whilst there for the last few books in the series dh is collecting) done, and I have a list of the books he wants in my purse! no luck today
* call into HomeB for some sensodyne toothpaste, as I've had a bit of toothache and its usually cheaper there then the big supermarkets & get some milkshake syrup for the kids whilst there done
* call into aldee with my list - no junk to be bought!! just lots of fresh fruit and salad stuff and milk! done
* book my dentist appointment online as they've just sent me a link done
* check quidco/tcb done, and claimed a £3 payout for costalot,
* all meals from stores
* general Monday tidy up! done
* share bath water later
* straighten up the shed so that I can easily get the patio table/chairs out if its warm enough to eat out there tonight. done
* help ds1 register his new bank account for online banking done
** checked banking/updated spreadsheet and emailed it back to myself as a back up
** cleared 3 email inboxes, and unsubscribed from various marketing emails too
** prepped next weeks rm surveys and walked to the post box to send our postal votes off
** decided to flip the wall units/tv unit/sofas around in our snug, it now means our sofa looks out to our garden rather the our side fence and neighbours heads when they're out in their garden, I thought about doing it ages ago but talked myself out of it as I thought it would be too faffy but I've done it, its taken less then 2hrs and it looks so much better and bigger somehow?!! Just need to get someone in to move our tv ariel and it will be perfect
Take care all.Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.
