Would it count as Boris winning an election if he became the only PM in history to lose his seat :T Not impossible I would have thought, after all it is a London seat and he is the PM with the lowest majority since 1924.

Still got 50.8% of vote while Labour got 40% and voted leave 57.19% to remain 42.81%, so possible but not likely I would have thought.

Yes the outer London ring has become more Labour friendly over time but it isn't always massively Labour friendly in the way that inner London is.

You're having a laugh - his constituents voted to leave, the country voted to leave and he does all he can to thwart their votes, eventually by defecting to a party whose motto is the equivalent of "B@llocks to democracy" !

It's actually B@llocks to brexit, which isn't quite the same as democracy. We've been trying to get more democracy, but the leavers don't like that.

Those traitorous undemocratic MP's will be remembered all right, certainly not as heroes but as traitors who did all they could to sell their country out to the EU.

I don't accept they are selling their country out to the EU, we're richer in the EU and have way more going for us. Leavers want to asset strip the UK for the top 1%. I still wonder why they got more than 1% of the vote, it makes no sense.

All of the leave campaign promises have now been re-branded as aspirations, so you definitely won't get them. I wonder why you're so upset about not leaving?

Should be interesting when Boris has to eject Winston Churchills grandson from the Tory party :)

“I will be voting against the government tonight with a very heavy heart,” Soames said. Johnson’s party officials had warned that rebels would lose the parliamentary party “whip” if they vote against the government.
Soames, 71, who was knighted by Queen Elizabeth in 2014, has represented the electoral area of Mid Sussex, south of London, since 1997 having previously been Member of Parliament for nearby Crawley.

These MPs are so out of touch with the rest of the UK. How can they be allowed to change parties just like that?

What happens if the EU refuse an extension? What then?

These MPs seem to forget 17.4 million voted to leave. Where is their voice in all of this?

Time for a GE and rid these self serving scum bags.

Democracy will win this in the end. All these Mps who swap parties and vote against what their constituencies voted for, better start looking for a new job!

I am not aware that someone is watching someone else writing style. Is it relevant to the discussion ?? As this is an MSE forum and not a langague test forum, a person who ask this tell a lot of things of his background. Asking this question you might want to reveal to the forum, how many languages do you speak ? What make you think you have the right to ask this question ?? Answer me first and when I satisfied with your answer I will answer you.

Regarding the EU, I am not against the EU. I just put forward my thought. Some of them are based on evidence.

May I return your favour why you become an arch remoaner even you know that the current deal is very bad for the UK??. Keep in mind the current deal has been rejected three times in the parliament.

English, German, French, Spanish, Dutch in that order of fluency.

Unless you’re a native Welsh or Gaelic speaker who struggles with written English, your nationality is highly relevant in a debate about the very future of the UK.

I agree the withdrawal agreement was bad for the UK. The ideal is to remain in the EU, as a no deal crash out is madness.

Some of them were at the march making their voice heard against a no deal brexit.

Where is the voice of the 16.1 million in what you propose? We certainly didn't vote for no deal brexit.

Boris shouldn't have prorogued government and then maybe he'd have had more time, because there is now one last chance to avoid no deal.

Boris has no idea how to negotiate, he hasn't been negotiating & is just running the clock down and preparing to blame everyone else for the damage of no deal. That kind of thing cannot be tolerated in a decent society.
