Will Brexit happen?

Brexiters have had 3 years to frame a vision of our Brexit future and you have come up with precisely zero trade deals, zero promises of alliances outside the EU, and a government that is now composed of or supported by far right religious bigots, racists, liars and misogynists.
It's not really surprising that you are being opposed.
1) The government opposed Brexit in the referendum
2) While part of the EU it is against EU law for individual countries to do trade deals.
3) The Conservative party is not far right, it is a centre right party
4) It is a trait of neo Marxist dogma (and similar to Fascists in this way) to brand anyone that opposes them as deplorables.0 -
If right wingers I profoundly disagree with narrowly won a referendum instigated by a right wing party I profoundly disagree with to restore capital punishment I would campaign against that.
Sorry, but democracy is a participatory process. It doesn't just stop because you don't like opinions that don't agree with your own.
Contending legislation you disagree with and proposing an alternative is democratic. Reaching a compromise when the country is split down the middle is democratic.
It's you who doesn't seem to understand democratic process, because for you the only voice that may now be heard on this topic is yours. A view that would be heartily endorsed by the Chinese Communist Party.
3 years ago most of us accepted that Brexit would happen. Parliament voted to trigger Article 50 and since then there has been a discussion as to what that Brexit would look like. During this process the intransigent wilful intolerant ignorance of the Brexit camp has done more than anything to jeopardise leaving.

There is no vision is there! I mean what exactly will our Govmt be doing after Oct 31st that the EU was stopping it doing beforehand? In exactly what way will all our families fortunes and opportunities be enhanced after brexit? I say the legacy of brexit for the next generation will be a divided nation and a fractured union. What exactly is Johnson offering to ensure that doesn't happen........for instance what exactly is his plan to combat growing calls for Scottish independence and growing discord in N Ireland? What is he going to offer to huge sections of society that don't agree with him? Roughly 32 demonstrations will take place today up and down the country. Is that a sign of a healthy country?0 -

1) Which was the last time the UK had a single party with enough seats and democratic legitimacy to form a government. There have been three different Tory leaders since the referendum was announced.
2) It is against EU law for individual countries to sign trade deals, it is not against EU law to negotiate them. So far we have something proposed with the US that from its best angle, looks horrifically one sided in their favour, and a proto-agreement with New Zealand about sheep.
3) :rotfl:
4) Yeah yeah, Marxists, reds under the bed. Anything to turn the spotlight away from Tory cruelty, corruption, and incompetence.0 -

It will be systematically dismantling British rights and freedoms that took decades to enact. It will be packaging up the NHS to sell to a deplorable, racist, right wing American government in a one sided trade deal. It will be slashing taxation for the diminishing portion of super wealthy that still pay any tax. It will be gerrymandering constituencies to try and ensure that there will only ever be Tory governments in England, voted for by a minority of people. Oh, and it will be shedding crocodile tears over the departure of Scotland, happy in the knowledge that Scotland's MPs won't be opposing it in Parliament.
Following that we can expect a return of fox hunting, a return to banning teaching about homosexuality in schools, roll backs on equal rights, a reduction in maternity pay, and huge cuts to services for the poorest and most vulnerable. Everything Tories stand for.0 -

It's good to see you throwing your support heart and soul into the cause by attending one of the many anti-Brexit demonstrations taking place today.

He seems intent on removing any decision from parliament.
Unless you think it's a game, which it might be.
No, you are wrong.
Parliament made the decision on 1st February 2017 to implement Article 50, by a majority of 384 with only the SNP, Plaid Cymru, the Liberal Democrats and a few rebels.
So parliament has made the decision to leave the EU.
Then three times, yes three times, parliament has refused the only offer of a deal which is on the table from the EU.
So simply put, parliament has agreed to leave the EU and it has refused a deal.
Which decision then is being taken away from them that they have not already taken?0 -
If Jeremy Corbyn had prorogued parliament for so long to let's say stop a democratic scrutiny of a radical govmt programme would you apologists for Johnson actions accept it as normal and acceptable?0

Corbyn isn't allowed, he's not the PM
I have no problem with people complaining with what Boris has done, but it is his right as PM to do so.0
