Deni - Have a great time.
NSD today - 10/20.
Grateful for:
Having a chilled out day.
Managing to do tiny bit of housework.
Opened windows due to nice weather.Frugal Living Challenge 2025 Mortgage free as of 1st August 20130 -
NSD yesterday - OH collected DD from uni (along with a heap load of stuff) and then we went out for afternoon tea (bday present - no cost) Lots of washing, as the weather was lovely. Potted up/ potted on some plants and seedlings.
Awake early today - up before 6.30 and made a start on the ironing - was mostly under control but have done another 3 loads of washing today...….
Spends today on fuel (OH - but more than covered by business mileage expenses) and Tesc0 - although did use tcb vouchers for the whole of the cost :T :T Had a lovely late brunch after OH and DS2 returned from shooting club and then we went to the local farm gelato shop this afternoon - yummy! Visited friends (his bday) for tea and cake and have come home, watered all the pots, pruned back some bits on plants which aren't growing, fed people - and will aim to get smallest ones to bed in next hour
Discovered a collection of various weedkillers and plant foods in the garage, so will not need to buy any more this year!
Am at work every day this week (and the following) so will need to be organised with things.... Couple of extra things around also (eg: dentist appointments) just to add to the mix
Gratitudes:
* gorgeous locally made gelato from the farm's own cows' milk
* sunny weather

Hi everyone hope you all had a fab weekend.
Toni's friend - that sounds a nightmare. Hope you manage to get it resolved.
Friday one night mini break and a gig. They were already paid for just meal and then drinks £30 in total. May have slipped over my budget here.
Saturday - brunch took cover as there was a downpour. Only spends of the day. £8
Sunday- Mini food shop £12. Enough to cover next few days. Plus bought tickets for gig September and April next year. Both fairly cheap ones. £16 & £20. Wasn't planned this month so will try tighten the reins diving into the freezer later.
Monday - today finally a SFD in the bag. Bit fuzzy headed today due to my team winning the premiership. Such a happpy bunny and actually in
Manchester next week for the victory parade.
Exercise done well walked lots everyday, yesterday fought with the garden. My body aches all over after gig as well.
Will wrestle budgets tomorrow when my head is clearer.
Grateful for.
My phone as my Sat Nav died and I would have been totally lost without it.

Well, last night was quiet so maybe the party was a one off. If it happens again I will have to have a word and point out that whilst we have no objection to people enjoying themselves they have to be aware of the noise etc they are causing and have some respect for others.
On the children front, I think most of them must have been somewhere else yesterday as things are looking relatively tidy following my tidy up. I went around the front today and disposed of some things in the bins. They had totally destroyed some old furniture which had been left out for the council to collect. Wood and rubbish everywhere. People will think I'm some sort of maniac picking up big stones and rocks and hiding them where they can't get at them otherwise the next thing will be broken windows. If that happens there is no option but to inform the police as the council will not replace them otherwise.
The mother from hell couldn't find her five year old yesterday so she went out for the afternoon with the other two leaving her to her own devices. My neighbour with the two little ones gave her dinner and looked after her. Apparently this is not the first time something like this has happened. She has asked said neighbour to collect the five year old from school and then she's just turned up at seven or eight o'clock at night. No "could you look after her" . Just isn't there.
I've been getting so stressed about what is going to happen to this little child that Himself decided I needed to get away so he took me for lunch at the local pub today. It was really nice. I need to take a step back but I cannot conceive how any mother can behave like this and I would never forgive myself if something happened to her.
Sp apart from that I've done the Boy's washing and it's all dried outside.
I am really, really grateful for:
A good night's sleep and it being quiet here (at least for the moment).Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
An old lady who lived upstairs sadly died when we were on holiday. I've just met a lovely young couple with a little baby who have been offered her house to rent by the council. I had a long chat with them and was completely honest about where we live (ie some undesirables but we'll sort that out. We don't stand any nonsense, Most of the people who live here have been here for more than twenty years, etc). They seemed very excited and said they hope to see me in a couple of weeks. Such a relief to know that some nice people are going to move in. It's really made me feel better.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0

Was a spend day. Had to pay off the balance for my new bed. Also brought myself a little treat.
Grateful for:
New bed being delivered.
Old beds being taken away.
Went out for 2 walks - one was to take a small bit of recycling to a local recycling point and also to get treat.Frugal Living Challenge 2025 Mortgage free as of 1st August 20130 -
I think that I would be inclined to contact children's services if a 5 year old is being left alone. I leave my kids in on afternoons at the weekend when I work, but they are 14 and 10, they know where I am and we are contactable by phone both ways. It just doesn't ring right...
Anyway, I have had a busy week and weekend, and it's continuing. First science exam is tomorrow so there's no hope of me getting less busy...
NSD as I'm busy and skint
Today I'm grateful for
My boss, my common sense and my intelligence. Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control
