You are you. Now isn't that pleasant.
Dr Seuss, as ever.
Have a lovely day being yourselves, turtlesNST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Thanks for the quote apple
NSD - finally 1 yesterday. This week should be better than last week.
Reduce - used up some old veg yesterday. Did waste a small soggy cucumber that I didn't eat last week, poor planning.
Move - did a 15 min HIT workout yesterday after work
Grateful - grateful for having options, even if that means I am stuck on what to do. I have 2.5 months off work for summer but am torn between working for 1 month and doing a 10 day silent mediation course instead! (am definitely doing the camino as well) Maybe 2.5 months is too long for a holiday (it's true, last year I was bored)
Have a great day turtles!Student loan £5655

Morning all.
DS has been in trouble this morning. On Friday he had food tech and I told him that I needed his ingredient list Friday evening, last night I remembered about it and asked him only to be told he forgot to bring the recipe home. It is food tech tomorrow so now I have to rush out tonight assuming he brings the recipe home today. Then last night I told him his PE kit was washed and back in his bag, reminded him again at breakfast as he has PE today, dropped them at school and asked him where it was and he has forgotton - so he will be doing PE in spares. The reason behind all this I believe is his obsession with Fortnite so tonight we will be having a 'chat', which will not end well I imagine.
Have cycled this morning and will dog walk later. Need to crack on with some cleaning today, peg the washing out, make lunch and tea from what we have in, pot on my tomatoes which I planned to do yesterday but it was too cold and wet.
Money was spent yesterday on stuff we didn't need but I did buy our neighbours a bottle of wine as they validated our passport applications yesterday and also did a reference for me for the recent vetting procedure for my job. I didn't realise you needed to have your identity confirmed for a passport renewal, the whole thing took ages to do.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Afternoon Turtles!
Back to school already. Two and a half weeks til half term.
Cleaned the house this morning, and hoovered from top to bottom. Cleaned hamster cage (he hates me again now). Did the boring shopping ( frozen peas, loo rolls and pain meds). Writing lists and cupboard inventory is on the cards for later on today, but now I am going to read my book before heading out on the afternoon school run.
Motivation for losing weight is going well (lost 4lbs last week), did the meter readings this morning and sent them off, and it is a lot less thanlast month, so hopefully will be able to get a refund.
Towels line drying - all 11 of them that were used yesterday!!!!!
So there. One day back to school and I am back on track, house cleaned, I know what I am doing, I have a list, and I also need to pot on my tomatoes and cukes. My Borgettes are looking amazing!!

Spent in Tesc0 this morning, Amaz0n this afternoon and probably JLew1s online tonight! (Blame birthdays and weddings for the last 2 - and part of the first, too)
Have been sorting out tax return stuff today - I think it should all be in order by tomorrow. 4 loads of washing done - 3 on line, 1 still in machine...… (ran out of space!) - and another still to do!! Got ironing up straight (before heaps more comes in off line) and that's pretty much all I managed, sadlyHave a long to-do list for this week, and haven't really made a dent in it
Gratitudes:
* watching a robin singing away on top of a lamppost this morning
* line dried washing :T
* making good headway on tax stuff (both mine and OH's)
* DS3's wonderful good mood
* tcb - cashed out £50 of Tesc0 vouchers from OH's business-related hotel bookingsI am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200 -

Himself is still feeling poorly. He's spent most of the day in bed reading. He got up about an hour ago and has had something to eat so, hopefully, he's on the mend.
So I've spent the day doing the ironing from yesterday and generally pottering and tidying but I've achieved a fair bit just doing small things. I've been keeping up the skin care and eating fruit. Due to HImself's illness the meal plan has gone by the wayside but I'm eating from the freezer and stores - not quite as healthily as I would like but never mind.
Finished my book last night and started another. I think the Kindle Unlimited might be a good idea as I'm going away for three weeks in June (self catering) and I know I will be reading lots so it will save carrying physical books. Which reminds me I must start thinking about a Tesco order for that. There are very few shops where we are going and what there are tend to be very expensive.
Grateful for:
Himself feeling a bit better
Boy coming tonight for dinner (without washing, I hope!)
A relatively quiet dayHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
Hello :wave:
I am a bit tired tonight - my own fault... My day of doing nothing at all yesterday meant I wasn't sufficiently tired to get to sleep at bed time. I certainly wasn't raring to go when my alarm went off this morning though.
Busy day at work - I get a bit of free time on a Tuesday so I managed to write a test, prepare a revision lesson, do a bit of marking and make a good start on some reports. I feel quite pleased that I've had a productive day though.
Straight home, and already in my jammies for the night. Time to relax.
I'm grateful today for:
Getting lots of things crossed off my to-do list.
Snuggling under a fluffy blanket as it's still cold out there
Bagging another nsd as they were few and far between in AprilNot giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Sorry!!! Barely been on my laptop all week.
Budget - Budget is totally blown and I am not sure how. Stressing a bit about it but trying to take back a bit of control.
Enjoy the month. Been a tough week already, had some bad news on Sunday and struggling to stay positive.
Read. Almost finished reading My Mum Tracey Beaker it's great and surprising. I grew up with Tracey Beaker
Reduce, reduce and reduce some more. Sticking with minimum bags.
Things I am grateful for my lovely friend. She has been so kind to me.
No! Not spent anything today.
Pretty fed up, paid all my bills and the rest of my money seems to evaporate. I have two weeks before my next payment and I am going to have to be very strict with myself as I have about £50 left until then. I keep trying to get a handle on my finances but, half of the time I can hardly remember what I have spent it on. I have managed to put my therapy money and hospital money to one side but feel overwhelmed and low. It's not an option for me to put therapy on hold as I desperately need to see my T.
I am still grieving my daughters being adopted and it has impacted massively on my health this week.No Spend November 2/15 and SPC 1340
