Hi all :j
Budget: Not done yet as still on my hols. Will definitely do when I get back in 5 days or so though. Still to do.
Enjoy the month. Didn't go anywhere today but did a bit of reading, knitting & a little bit of gardening..not much as the blinkin rabbits eat just about everything here. Cute though!
Read. Still have 2 half books to read, there are more here though so I won't run out (panic!). Alternatively I 'could' read the one (free) book I have on my Kindle...can you tell I prefer a paper book?
Reduce, reduce and reduce Eaten ys food today & very good it was too. Seems strange not to have animals to eat any scraps but the local wildlife have been helping us out.
Increase Will visit the local amenity site before we leave.
Move it! Just a bit of moving today in the garden.
Post 3 gratitudes every day An email from my uncle, beautiful fresh green of the hedgerows, neighbour has been over in our absence & mended our completely broken gate.

Back and shoulder remained sore and painful for most of yesterday so not a lot more done but things are looking a lot better and therefore more manageable - we're past the overwhelming stage.
Decided to have the shower (and hair wash) which made me feel a lot better and put the washing machine on to make it feel like something was getting done.
Did a few trips to the bins (raining but only spitting) and yesterday's grand excursion was to the library with a book to return, 17 tins to the food bank box and several random items to the cs bin. Also checked my account for fines as books were due back Saturday and Monday (renewed online and library was closed Monday)
Lots of reading until about 4 am (currently reading The Eternal Plague by Jeff Somers - sci fi dystopian future, Nightflyers by George RR Martin - short stories, and Sense and Sensibility by Joanna Trollope - modern reworking, part of the Jane Austen project). Very lazy late night snack of tinned oxtail soup and tinned peaches - convinced myself not to go and buy something chocolatey and biscuity (little shop is open until 1 am).
Woke up ravenously hungry, have had bacon barm cakes (meant to get a pack of scones out of the freezer - frozen before we went away in March) and waiting as some 'hungry' feelings still there - my body lies to me:eek::(:rotfl:
Plans are to tackle another murky bit in the kitchen then shower, remembering to use the left hand as much as possible (for cleaning the kitchen, not me). Buy what I need (remembered yesterday that I should have bought dishwasher and washing tablets with the deck scrubber head but knew I would have to go shopping today so why lose a NSD - still had one dishwasher tablet), prepare as much as I can for tomorrow, then go to mum's (found the drill but will see how my arm feels before doing anything - just want it at mum's for now).
Today I am grateful for the weather (look on the bright side f0xh0les, it damps down the hayfever), looking forward to seeing DS1 and his wife (not that she's an appendage, just that it's such a strange thing to say in relation to DS1 who, like me, never wanted to marry - although his choice was much wiser, mine was forced upon me) and for the slight ache in my right shoulder (just a reminder that I worked hard yesterday).
Saturday I will sleep. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
What our a day.
On Saturday I booked the hotels for our holiday next January. No prepayment required as per usual. I realised I had to update our Booking.com account because we had our credit card replaced (details needed to secure the booking). Duly did so. Yesterday I got an email from Booking.com saying the hotel could not process our booking because the credit card was invalid. I thought I must have made a mistake so updated it again and emailed the hotel to apologise and say it was now correct. This morning another email to say it was invalid. Himself phoned Bcard. Everything is in order they said and they haven't declined anything. Nothing from the hotel. Eventually, I cancelled the hotel and booked another. I know the details are correct. I just hate it when things go wrong and you start to doubt yourself. I can't stand the hassle. So waiting to see if anything else transpires.
Anyway, apart from that we did a bit of shopping and got some YS chicken and sausage (always handy).
So I am now sitting with a gin and tonic to calm my nerves.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
F0xh0les - good luck to ds1 with his exams. Hope he aces them, as he planned!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
