indigowarrior - Sending you hugs.
NSD today - 6/20.
Grateful for:
Friend agreeing to do a personal reference for me that the agency requested as I had a break from work for 4 months and they needed a reference from a friend/acquaintance.
Spending time around a friend's place for a couple of hours.

Also sending you hugs indigo. It's a really hard thing that you did.
Today I am grateful for sunshine, for planting out my sunflowers, for nearly - oh, so nearly - finishing some paperwork, for a workout and a swim, for dd having a much better time of it at school.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Yesterday was a spend day, as we went food shopping. Not spent too much and it's all out of the grocery budget.
Today was a NSD so I'm on 3/16. Tomorrow should also be a NSD as I'm working from home.
Back at work today, which was difficult as I had 0% energy to do anything and I was so slow. Stupid TOTM making me feel like poo!
Today I'm grateful for:

I've had a good day. Morning appointment was a review of my weight management sessions so far. She hadn't realised I was walking without using the walker until I mentioned it. The arch supports and vitamin D tablets have both made such a difference. Still using the support bandage to help the ankle (makes my boot a little crowded - can't wear socks).
I said i was enjoying the exercise sessions and was doing a little more each time. I was told I was a good group member and made a valuable contribution. Not succeeded in all my goals but have improved from when I started. Should improve lots more now that I can move for the first time in nearly 5 months.
It was obvious that both my mood and my energy levels were improving.
The afternoon home visit went well, especially considering that the receptionist phoned to ask if the OT could come within the next half hour rather than at the appointed time. So a quite messy house but it was apparent that I was in the middle of routing out rubbish from hidden corners.
Discussed improved layout of front room - 2 items of furniture gone, one replaced by a smaller but more useful piece from my room which accommodates both the stuff from the old sideboard and the majority of the chinchilla stuff (only a couple of sacks that would be more trouble than it's worth to stuff them in the cubes and haul them out every time they are needed).
She could see the improvements in the kitchen (will improve more tomorrow when the small fridge is collected), the neatness of the shelves I had done and that getting stuff off and from under the table was a work in progress. I am still having to pace myself and stop when I'm tired and aching as I don't want more injuries or to aggravate the ones that are recovering.
Bedroom looked brilliant even though I hadn't had time for duvet stuffing and the encased pillows were piled up on the floor. Looked at the bathroom - i have turned down the offer of a bath seat but have accepted the offer of bath grab rails (one parallel to the shower fitting to be used for holding onto instead of the top of the towel rail, one on the opposite wall to help pull myself to a standing position/ holding when standing and a third diagonally above the bath - will help with getting off the bottom of the bath and higher than the side of the bath).
OT said I should be very pleased with what I had achieved. Will not be a third home visit unless I decided I want one - she will put a note in my file and I will be asked about it nearer the end of the exercise sessions. Must not buy a perching stool, she will get me one as soon as there is room for it.
Rested for a while, then went shopping. Wilco had the deck scrubber as a head which saved money, just have to hope that one of the many many broom stales I already have fits it. i have also bought a squeegy type mop - not keen on them but struggling with a proper mop so giving this a trial - only bought the $4 one (they went up to $20) and they have replacement heads. They also had a window cleaning set but will try this first. It's not as though I am short of things to do.
Went in 3 clothes shops (had previously visited 2 of them and 3 charity shops - don't have time to go to them all/ go to Mc) and summer isn't the time for buying plain black items. Spent $71 on a smart black jacket, a white cotton blouse and a black double layer chiffony vest top all things I will get lots of wear out of (saw a black dress but didn't 'love it' and not paying $45 for something that doesn't thrill me). I have black leggings including some fine cord ones. The blouse was sale price and I also bought two long tunics/ short dresses in blue (one $20 in the sale, one $8 from a discount shop - it had an evans label in). Using the dollar sign as i'm fed up writing pounds all the time. Trying not to hanker after the days I could just buy a men's dinner jacket from the cs - first one lasted over 10 years and then replaced it with another one which also lasted many years.
Other spends include bus fares, a small food shop (used all my sandwich stock), hayfever tablets and a puzzle book. Not necessarily needed but a small celebration.
Came home, put food in the oven and put out the bins. Relaxing now and will start on the kitchen/ mess tomorrow.
Today i am grateful for being able to move, for being happy about the things I have done and getting recognition from others (not insecure but it does help when you know you've worked hard but can't see the results) and for communications with DS1 and DS2.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Hi all :j
Thought I had better check in as I have been on holiday since the 1st (still am).
Budget: Not done yet as still on my hols. Will definitely do when I get back in 5 days or so though.
Enjoy the month. Holiday is part of enjoying myself, so that's all good. Bit under the weather for the last 2 days though (not fair) but still managed out & about.
Read. Am currently reading 2 books & have finished one.
Reduce, reduce and reduce Reducing spends by not eating out as much as normal on hols & buying mostly YS food...old habits LOL. Now have enough food to last until we go back having hit MnS at an optimum time. Also most other shopping has been of the reduced variety, so much so that the cashier said 'that's for nothing' when I made my purchases today.
Increase ]Recycling necessary here as no council type waste collection (we're not here long enough to set one up) so have to go to the tip & pay, reasonable cost though.
Move it! Been moving - doing some maintenance here - painting until the weather got wet, it was lovely over the weekend & strangely was fine on the BH as well. Also out walking to various places.
Post 3 gratitudes every day Grateful for - seeing 2 robins this morning (together, I thought they were territorial), feeling better after a rough day yesterday, DH doing all the driving today.
No! Tricky as on hols but have been eating most meals at home, at least 2 per day. Did eat out today, but had YS desserts.
Think of others Talked to neighbour I hadn't met before & introduced myself to her & dog Bullet
16 NSD: Have actually managed ONE NSD despite being on holiday, yay go me! 1/16

I had to provide references etc going back 10 years for my current temporary job, I have had breaks from work and because I don't claim benefits it is like I just disappear. You would think there would be something in place for SAHM's to prove where they have been easily, I ended up giving 5 years worth of bank statements, 1 for each month.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Cold and wet here today. I am planning to make a curry for tea and I am going to do some flatbreads and hope they store in the fridge for a few hours, also doing mash to top the base of my vegan cottage pies for tea tomorrow. Lunch for work tomorrow is already in the fridge, there is a canteen at work but it is expensive and I just wouldn't anyway, a guy I work with was complaining that 2 slices of beans on toast and 1 sausage cost him £3.
Will be steam cleaning the floors, finishing cleaning the lounge, walking the dog, doing the school run and calling at the post office to get stamps for our passport documents - I am having to send them all separately and to 4 different locations.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
