  • Evening all; my update for today:

Budget - only spent £7 on drinks on day out with DD1 and her BF. Covered by social spends pot.

Enjoy the month. Will try not to let work get to me. Had a big paddy earlier when colleague messaged something about work but then turned out she was mistaken - relieved but made me realise I need to do something about my FT role. Had lovely walk with DD1 and her BF; and DD1 and I had a nice meal together :)

Read. About to sit down with a cuppa tea and read some more of my book .

Reduce, reduce and reduce some more. No Facebook. All food from stores. Dried washing on the line

Increase, Increase walking - done 8k+ steps today.

    Move it! Have done!

Things I am grateful for today lovely walk by the sea; quiet meal with DD1 - lovely end to the bank hol weekend; a quiet evening to prepare for the week ahead

    No! not spent much

Think of others. Spent time with DD1's BF who lives along way from family.

Hope everyone has had a good day

Another unexpected NSD, so now on 4.
Relaxy type of day, by the time the elder kids got out of bed and could agree on Endgame, it had sold out, so that was taken out of my hands.

All food from stores - home made spring rolls, and the kids were delighted with greek style soy yoghurt and mango pulp.

Back to school (and reality) tomorrow.

I get nothing done when they are here, so I am indulging in my new book, (c/s 20p) which appears to be werewolves in space ... or maybe alien werewolves with nanobots... but then you can't really think too hard about that can you? it's called fantasy for a reason.
    Gratitudes:
    Earl Grey (hot!)
Mango pulp making a quick easy tasty pudding
DS1 and 2 squealing with laughter on the landing (I did not ask) so they must like each other really.

I still have motivation to lose weight!

    My book making me giggle.

Checking in with just the type of day I dream about from time to time. I've done literally nothing work related... It's been indulgent :rotfl:
Got a good night's sleep and a lie in this morning (for a while) and ds was entertained by his friend for the morning and dd didn't show her face until lunchtime. Then have spent the day doing stuff for me. Finally started watching Game of Thrones, continued with my crochet project, had a long soak in the bath with a good book. It's been miserable outside so I haven't been anywhere - hence can report a nsd.
Happy days - I don't want to go to work tomorrow though  Exam time is SO close now.

Make a budget NSDs 6/30 Just more dog food (wet food yesterday, dry today) and tortoise food bought today, out the grocery budget again.
Enjoy the month. Do things that make you happy. Game of Thrones today :D
Read. Bedtime reading again tonight. I am whizzing thru, I've finished Volume 1, so I'm a quater way through. Starting Volume 2 tonight, lets see if I can finish it this month.
Reduce. Nothing new has entered the house today. Sadly nothing has left either.
Increase. Music practice. Another 30 mins on the guitar, I finished my Yousician free time, then tried writing a song for my friend. It's our frieniversary next month, so I'd like to compose her a little tune.
Just a short 10 minutes on the sax, wasn't feeling it. At least I picked it up and warmed it through.
Move it! Gym was closed early today, before I finished work, so that's my excuse for being lazy!
    Every day gratitudes:
    1) Game of Thrones!
    2) Constant supply of tea from my colleagues in work.
    3) Being so close to work I can go home for lunch. Really glad today so I could put some tights on halfway thru - little chilly today.
No! to wants, to treats. No naughties today, took an apple to work for my snack.
Think of others. Uhh can't think of anything specific, but I wasn't horrible :D

Enjoy the month. Skyped my mum and organised a catchup with a friend on Wednesday.

Today was a NSD as the possible deck scrubber shop seemed an awful long way away. Not much pain but didn't feel up to more hard physical stuff. Did tidy off the bed (was taking reading book, laptop and paperwork to mum's, put all the bits (phone, purse, glasses, lip salve, keys, diary etc) in my handbag), picked up litter, pots, recycling and can see most of the bed. Also took cheese spread, ham, tomatoes and a small loaf to make sandwiches.

Planning an early start tomorrow, have an appointment at 10.30 am at the health centre and then a home visit around 2.30 pm. Gathered 9 bags for life from the kitchen table yesterday so may just bag as much as possible first thing - could put them out in the yard and clear enough space to have a good go at the kitchen floor rather than tackling it in patches as I clear it.

Mum has told me to take tomorrow off, I'm doing Thursday instead and Friday is the funeral. Cleaner has swapped days again to Wednesday as her grandchildren have an after school activity. Left a bag of tools and drill bits at mum's as she wants me to do a bit of gardening and I'm hoping I can do some shed sorting - lots has been pulled out and then stuffed back in since I last did it.

Today I am grateful for a peaceful relaxing day (finished off a jigsaw, did some reading and rescued a few small animals), lovely food and sun cream (thought I needed to buy some as had a part bottle and one with a tiny squidge left but found another which had fallen behind a piece of furniture when I was tidying.
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.
