Oh am I fed up
. It’s just been a couple of days of bad stuff and I’m trying to tell myself they are only little things but they have all come together. Got an unsuccessful on Monday to that interview I had 3 weeks ago and another one this morning for the interview I had yesterday. I did nothing wrong, just someone else with more relevant experience. I have to keep reminding myself that the last three jobs I’ve had I was told I interview really well and the first one of those was way back in 2008, again in 2015 and then this year. I think I’m only so upset because I hate the job I have so much, keep reminding myself I do have a job so I’m lucky (even of it is pants). My son and the cat broke my clock this morning. It’s only cheap but my mum bought it for me when I got my first house 25 years ago, I think I may have managed to fix it. I’ve prized the front case off and reset the hands and glued the movement back in. Just letting it run for a while then I’ll glue the face back on. Been trying to get a new battery fitted in my mums old watch and no one will be sensible about it. I’ve had one before at my old local jewellers but no one here wants to know. I’ve been told we don’t do battery replacement, I can’t get the back off those, we have to send it away, we will only do it with a service and today it was £45 for a battery, 2 year guarantee and a reseal. I only want a battery! Watch is a dress watch that is nearly 30 years old. I bought it for my mum when I went to Australia, it has an opal watch face, and she wore it as an everyday watch. When she died my sister said I should have it as I bought it and I wear it as an everyday watch; it doesn’t need sealing or a guarantee just a £2 battery fitting  Think I’m going to buy some tools from amazon and do it myself with the help of mr google. Maybe my mum is trying to send me a message about time what with the watch and the clock :A
We have been on our last day out as my son is back to school. He’s been acting all ungrateful but I think he’s just exhausted so hoping for an early night tomorrow after first day back. We have been on the train and out to lunch at Kitty Cafe. Our two cats won’t have anything to do with him because they know him! The cat over the road will let him stroke it but today a kitten came and settled on his knee which pleased him; he just won’t sit still long enough though. Well off to battle him into the shower and then do the ironing while watching Bake OffSPC #023 SPC 12: £125.86[/COLOUR]:SPC 13: £214.98: SPC 14: £297.41 SPC 15: £237.27 SPC 16 £335.39; SPC 17 £662.09 SPC 18 £20MFW #21 Mortgage start Dec 2015 £79,950; June 2025 £19,394.00 2025 OP £1589/COLOR]/£2,000 MFiT T6 #3 £19070/£25,500 (72.82%%) MFiT T7 #3 £2050/£21,930 (9.34%)1 -

Things not really any better this weekend unfortunately. Went to a family party for a wedding anniversary which was nice but have issues with my sister. She earns about one and a half times my salary and has no kids at home and is single. Long and short is I’ve ended up giving her £50 today as she said she only had £15 until payday which is the end of the month. I’m not getting into it but she said she has no savings, no credit card she can use and has debt of a bank loan which apparently they won’t increase. I know how much she inherited when our mum died and I don’t see any trappings associated with that money. Then there are the issues between her and her daughter that I get stuck in the middle of
I’ve redone my budget for the month and sorted out what were necessities to buy and came up with a new cat flap and a guitar! Cat flap because it’s cracked and now the weather is beginning to turn there’s a draught coming through and guitar for my son’s lessons. I’ve manage to get a ama2on warehouse one that has some cosmetic damage on the body and neck. Well once my son has got hold of it I’m sure there will be a few more. So the calendar, sweatshirt and plants have gone by the by this month, but I’ve paid off my credit card and still have some savings. Next month EF will be back to £1k and then I’ll start doing the split between mortgage and bigger savings pot.

Decided to be positive and look for the good things that have come my way. Cat flap has been despatched so the draught will soon be eliminated. I’m loving my beeswax wraps, good buy. I’ve had an email about the guitar lessons and school have awarded my son a bursary towards the cost! It was mentioned ages ago when I met with the SENCO teacher but didn’t really expect it. We all think it will be good for him and his concentration and he so loves music. Fingers crossed. I’ve made a cake and have some pastry chilling in the fridge, wrapped in a beeswax wrap obviously. But most excitingly I appear to have a hedgehog in the garden
. Maybe it loves the pond or maybe it’s the cat food.........:)

It’s mortgage direct debit day. My mortgage now stands at £59,928.16
. Crashed through that £60k barrier but more importantly since I completed on the house on 11th November 2015 I, that’s me, on my own, just me, I’ve done it all, paid off £20,000  Just a bit less than a quarter of the mortgage term gone (it’s a 16 year term) and a quarter of the capital wiped out :T
