I would be cross too about waiting for 40 minutes at a station  and I definitely wouldn't offer to pay. When I go out with friends we usually pay for ourselves, unless what we've had is very similar and then we just split the bill equally.Thank youThat's great. Ours is really small too, hopefully that's in the right ballpark. Even if it's double it's manageable so that's really helpful.

Woke with a headache
WFH so not so bad.
My kitchen is clean and organised due to getting it ready for the plasterer. Much nicer to come down to in the morning.
I’ve decided I will meal plan for a few days as otherwise I tend to go off plan as I get bored.
So using up supplies of stuff I already have: quinoa, chicken pieces and black beans. I thought of:
Black bean and halloumi burgers
Black beans, quinoa with mango salsa
Chicken curry and quinoa and garlic greens
This weekend will begin when I have finished work in a few hours :T
The plan is full of excitement like:
A trip to the recycling dump
Clearing one garden border at least
A trip to the garden centre to buy some herbs to plant
Clean ground level windows
Other than that I will be free and spontaneous
Happy bank holiday weekend everyoneIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Glad the plasterer came and he was ok, your kitchen will look better with fresh plastered walls. Your food always sounds really healthy and interesting.
Enjoy your trip out tomorrow to the tip and garden centre.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.0 -
That's a great result with the plasterer! Great to have that confidence."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

Did you do your garden centre trip for herbs? Don't forget the potted ones in the supermarkets are really seedlings that can be split and planted - mint for example. You would need to harden them off as they will be used to hot supermarket. I've got some basil to split and pot on, it was c50p and has already made pesto.
The black bean ideas sound lovely. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

My plans have been scuppered by rain!
I wasn't counting on rain. So I can't garden or do outside work and I won't do the skip run until I have all the garden waste.
I've done the inside of the windows and when the weather is better I'll do the outsides.
All my plants were bone-dry so I've watered them all and they look happier.
I'll keep decluttering and cleaning. I'll be especially happy if I can get my floors steam cleaned today.
I'must do something other than declutter, clean, cook, shop for food to cook. This type of thing is satisfying but I do want to be doing, achieving, more than this. This stuff seems to suck up all my time.
Speech over. Off to wash dishes. Again.

I just gave myself a talking to and rather than moan about the drudge work, I am going to leave it until later.
Instead I will go out, drop off some decluttering at the CS and read a book sitting in the sun with a cup of coffee. I stole this idea from another diarist who is doing this on Monday.
Hopefully tomorrow will be dry and I can crack on with my outside choresIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them
