Hi DIA,
Work stress is horrendous and insidious. Good that you can work from home.
Re essential oils - have you tried them in a bath? I find a few drops of lavender on my pillow helps me go to sleep. That might be because it reminds me of my grandmother
Hope your day goes well."A thousand candles can be lit from a single candle without shortening the life of that candle."

WFH helped and I feel less tired today.
I still ate badly, but not as badly as yesterday. I threw out all the bad (nutritionally void) food and drink and I forced myself into doing 18:6 today. It was hard not to eat until noon but that usually gets me back on track within a few days.
PROGRESS: I called a plasterer who was recommended. I just wanted to get going with something…good job I called. He is booked up until July! He can quote within the next 2 weeks.
PROGRESS: The last plumber did not get back to me so I called another plumber who said he will get back to me this evening.
I’ve decided to stick to the same day for all quotes in future. Less confusing. Less stressful.
PROGRESS:
Work paid me and the money will be there on Monday :T
My day went okay.
I hope your day went okay too and if it didn’t at least it is the weekendIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Just catching up with your goings on DIA. I think you were right to ditch the work drinks. Negative feelings and views were bound to have surfaced and a group drink is supposed to have a relaxing aim! Saved yourself some cash too by the sound of it!
So pleased too to hear your money came through!
Hope your day goes well and that you have a great time tomorrow with your friend - and enjoy the cake!:DFinally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

A lovely morning with my friend. Lovely coffee place. Work yesterday was stressful so I needed to do something nice.
I usually buy drinks for us both but this time I did not. I held back and when my friend bought a drink she did not buy me one too. Interesting. I think it is just a habit. In a way I'm glad as I can buy my own drinks when we meet from now on without feeling guilty.
She is a nice person and brought me back some chocolate from her holiday. Single estate, good stuff. I was silly enough to leave it on the cafe table so I did not get to eat any at all
It was so nice to get out and relax a bit.
The builder who was quoting for the bathroom said he would call on Friday but instead he texted at about 10pm and said 'something had come up but he would call in the morning' He called in the afternoon as 'something had come up' Not a big deal but I have a feeling he will be unreliable and 'something will come up' often so I am not going with him. Sounds hard, but I've learnt to trust my instincts. I don't need the work for a few months so I'll keep going with the search...
I made some veggie soup this morning. It came out great

Glad you got paid in the end.
It is a slightly tense situation for you at the moment, so I think healthy eating, moderate exercise and plenty of sleep is essential to help you to stay on your A game.
I would have missed the work drinks too.
I must try lavender oil on my pillow, my Pilates teacher sprays it in the air above us when we do our relaxation at the end and it's so soothing.
