Hello there & happy Easter.
Thanks for posting on my new diary, having read thru some of yours I definitely think we must share some MSE DNA, especially on the home improvement front and the agonising it causes! We share a lot of similar "frogs" (not sure where this phrase comes from -presumably something about they are hard to swallow? - but I like it). You sound much better about cooking than me though. Good for you on making plans post redundancy - it's hard to take what can seem like a negative and turn it into something positive and that is what you are doing.
Looking forward to sharing how the future unfolds.0 -

I couldn't possibly laugh at ballet - my only chuckle is at the thought of me attempting ballet. I'm not what you'd call dainty at just short of 6ft...

I will be storing up some of your ideas ready for when I retire in two years time. Although I won't be working from home, I think a structured day will be of importance.
And go you on the ballet!:T

I’ve been tired, not sure why but I have had lots of sleep and rest and feeling better than I was now
A few days catching up on chores. I’m not sure how well I’ve used this break but the house is a bit more organised, life admin is under control and finally THE GRASS HAS BEEN CUT. I did 1/2 a border of weeding today.
The week coming up is busy with work and social stuff so I have been grateful for the quiet time.
I really need to see some progress on the house so I am thinking of a new front door. I have needed one for quite a while. This isn’t in the plan for this stage but psychologically it would give me a boost. I need to see some progress so I will think about this whilst pushing on the floor sander and plumber fronts.
I could do with some new clothes but I am waiting for the sales to kick in. I may have overdone the clothes decluttering as all of a sudden there is little left.I’ve decided to buy some foundation after something SSG said on her diary.
I’ve sent in my meter readings so I’ll wait and see what the bill is before any spending.
Happy Easter everyoneIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Great news about the extra £700 from work, a new bathroom would make you feel much better
.
I think the two weekly exercise classes will be good value for money and will get you out of the house regularly (very imortant when working from home). I hope you find a couple of activites you enjoy. I always enjoy my Pilates class as it's relaxing and gives me a good work out too. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Noticed I am feeling edgy today so I am going for a walk once the day has ended to try to centre myself. I hate when I get like this.
I have cut down on coffee today and switched to Japanese tea to see if it helps…
Going to Ald1 to stock up on fresh veggies, fruits and some lean protein. I was going to make bean burgers but I don’t feel like carb type food, need something fresher…
My bill for energy came and it was half what I expected.I double checked my reading I was so surprised, but yes that is right. It just shows I can cut down when I become more aware.:money:
The next big bill will be tax and ins for the car. I just checked on the CU account and I am halfway there. RELIEF. It is harder to pay car expenses in one go but I prefer that to my monthly income disappearing in dribs and drabs… There is a Christmas club I can join so the plan is to pay in £1 a day So £7 a week on a S/O so a few hundred pounds waiting for me at Christmas. To be honest I barely notice the difference with small savings leaving my account…(I learnt that from Abba 1172) :T
Now to get ready for my walk and try to enter a more relaxed state!
17 weeks until I start my new lifestyle
No progress on house or lifestyle goals today

I know what you mean when you are just unsettled and do not know why. A long walk and a light supper sounds like a perfect plan.
Well done on energy. I agree being mindful and focussed does work, but I am not often mindful for long enough to make a differenceI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine0 -
