I drank lots of water yesterday. I always sleep with the window open a little but the headache and nausea are still with me when I wake. I assume it is hormonal or a bug that will work its way out. It isn’t bad enough to take painkillers and improves as the day progresses.

I am starting to feel a bit rudderless with my goals despite getting the quote from the plasterer.

I keep starting things but stopping when I come up against a barrier. I need to follow through. So I am starting to do 2 things a day that matter and move me forward and clear my head of clutter as my brain needs Kondoing even more than my home...

    FROG:

Knock on a neighbours door and ask if they know of a floor sander

OUTSTANDING FOR MONTHS/YEARS BUT TODAY IS THE DAY

I am starting Morning Pages. This is from a book called, The Artists Way by Julia Cameron. By writing your thoughts you brain drain the negative thoughts on to the page and clear your mind for creativity. (This is a poor explanation by the way, if you are interested google it. It is a great book) Anyway, I will buy a note book TODAY and begin this process.

Have a good day everyone :)

Morning, been reading your diary since yesterday when I first found it! I was intrigued by the title. You write in a very entertaining and imaginative way, I don’t normally follow diaries but have subscribed to yours. Good luck with your endeavours!

Just googled Morning Pages and it seems awfully time consuming - why does it have to be three pages? Surely you can write as little or as much as you want, or is the three pages part of the discipline?

Please tell me what is a FROG?
    :D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D

You're still going great guns DIA !
I could be wrong , but I don't really see how you could feel rudderless
Everything more or less seems to be going in the right direction , including getting plastered ( in the kitchen ):D
Regarding the headaches etc, I'm not a doctor but you have so much going on to contend with and lots of pressure has been building up.
When I was going through my stuff , I was getting loads of it for years
I think that when you become more settled , hopefully that will be a thing of the past .
    Now , where's the guinea pig ? ..:o

I hope the headaches go, it could easily be a bug.

Which date are you going to have the kitchen plastered?

I think you've achieved an awful lot recently but it's important that you feel on top of things and are happy with your progress, so a brain dump sounds like a good plan :).

How kind of you to delurk and post. Thank you for your encouragement. :)
Well in answer to your questions, a frog is something you need to do that is difficult and you have been avoiding.
Morning Pages? I find once you begin, 3 pages do not feel so many...Worth a try...

Thanks AC. I am hard on myself and it is silly as it doesn't help :o
I need to get into exercise more like you have :)

I have to remove the tiles myself  Then remove some ugly panelling myself  Then book him in...I don't know why I said I'd do that as it now seems a hard task :o

Still the same headache and nausea. I also continue to be exhausted and regularly fall asleep sitting up as I did today. I took some iron and I will be making a big effort to keep this up as I have a low iron condition and maybe, just maybe, that explains things.

To help myself gain some energy I am stopping all simple sugars again (including alcohol) as they seem to sap my energy too. Chocolate my friend I miss you already…I made a point of buying some blueberries and nice apples. ;)

Donated some tins of food to the food bank inspired by another diary saying donations were dropping.

My car needed petrol so did that and also got a small shop as it was where I was parked.

Did I eat my frog? Nope. Didn’t get the notebook either. The risk of public shaming on here for inaction made no difference. I can’t seem to get motivated at the moment.

Ah well, I am not going to beat myself up. It won’t help. Tomorrow is another day.

Sorry that you are still feeling lousy DIA.
It's good that you are looking after your iron condition . Hopefully in a couple of days , the supplements will be of benefit .
You are a braver person than me for giving up chocolate . Something I refuse to do .:)
I could be wrong here , but you may have withdrawal headache symptoms from stopping sugar suddenly . Similar to stopping caffeine which lasts a couple of days . I could well be wrong as I'm not a doctor , but gradual withdrawal is probably the way to go. Good luck with it anyway . Keep going , but don't forget to treat yourself to take your mind off things at times .

Thanks AC. I only gave up sugar today so that can't be the cause. I don't have much sugar in my diet anyway so the change isn't as dramatic as it sounds...You did great on changing your diet so I don't believe you couldn't give up chocolate if you wanted to ;)

I hope the headache goes soon. Healthy eating and hydration should help I would imagine. You could be coming down with a bug, be overtired, or stressed as those can all cause headaches in me.

Hi DIA - I've been pretty absent from here over the last few weeks but wanted to stop by and give you a cheer from the sidelines!

I hope you manage to get to the cause of the headaches and nausea as that in itself could be demotivating you and zapping you of much needed energy. Would getting up and straight out of the door for some fresh air help?

I noticed you mention that you need to remove the tiles and the panelling then book the plasterer. Just a thought, but maybe if you book the plasterer in, it'll give you a deadline and the motivation to get cracking with the things you need to do in preparation?
