Hello DIA,
I've found your new diary. I'm looking forward to reading through it later during my work breaks.

Hope you're feeling better today DIA.
I have a feeling that there is a bug going round now .
I woke up with the mother of all headaches , but it's the first headache I've had for a long time . I heard on the radio about a few people unwell also . Anyway , keep on keeping on and all of this will soon be gone . Enjoy the weekend ..0 -

I'm all caught up. You're doing so well, definitely better than I am on getting people round to quote etc. It's so hard getting past that emotional block.
Being able to work for yourself without concerns of your job sounds scary but great for you, especially after taking some time off to get things established. It feels like good timing there, although I do realise how it must be out of your comfort zone too.

Just catching up with your goings on DIA.
I do hope you're feeling better today. Bad headaches are so draining.
You did well though on sorting out your plasterer. I have long-standing relationships with a plumber, decorator and electrician so quite happy here. But I'm like you in that I hate to arrange anything home improvement related with anyone I don't know. I always feel that because I'm a woman living on my own I'll get rooked!:(.
Your plasterer sounds very nice - I don't suppose he'd do the tiles and panelling jobs if you offer a little extra? My decorator does all the other little jobs for me like putting up the blinds, etc. It might be worth asking if you don't feel like doing the jobs yourself.Puddleglum wrote: »DIA and Seasidegal,
I bought a bar of 90% G0diva chocolate yesterday and it was surprisingly sweet. Very addictive as well so I won't be buying it again but if you have discipline and assuming that it really is 90%, could it answer your problems?
Thank you for the info Puddleglum - I've bought a bar today!:DFinally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Just a thought, but maybe if you book the plasterer in, it'll give you a deadline and the motivation to get cracking with the things you need to do in preparation?MuffinTops wrote: »I'm all caught up. I know I don't sound like it but I want to try to do things sometimes as I think if I can get over the stress I will feel empowered in the end if that makes sense? If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Thanks everyone for the encouraging posts.
I have had a few ‘off/meh’ weeks but this morning I woke up feeling okay. The worst is behind me
Last night was the first time I have felt well enough to go out. I went to a colleagues leaving do. Unbeknown to me my 2 colleagues had spent £90 on a gift for him so my share cost me £30 plus drinks plus fares. £50 gone. Really annoyed. I had water all night as I couldn’t risk feeling unwell again.
I am going to be avoiding bars/eating out type socials from now on. I just can’t afford them if I am to meet my target savings. I will say yes to a coffee meet, walks, gardens, galleries and museums. They are all much more my thing anyway.;)
Done now. Moving swiftly on…
I’ve been YS lucky lately with veggies and high quality protein. So, healthy eats are taken care of. I can eat from the freezer and fridge for a few days. There is nothing more I need. So, a NSD today.:money:
I have missed lots of social events lately as I haven’t felt well enough. This includes a paid for ticket! I will keep my diary clear and do impromptu social things instead. It feels less pressurised to do it that way although there is a risk of doing nothing of course…
Today I will be getting on top of the disorganisation at home. I don’t mind at all. Washing humming in the background, a YS joint of lamb in my pot, sun shining, radio on, lists being made. A book asking to be dipped in to. It isn’t a lot but it’s just nice to be back to normal.
Happy Sunday everyoneIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

I'm glad you're feeling better DIA :T we all have our wobbly moments but it's good when they pass.
£30 share for a leaving present  I don't spend that much on close relatives :eek:. What on earth were they thinking? I bet you saved a fortune by drinking water all night though, very wise decision :money:.
I enjoy coffee shops, walks, galleries, gardens, etc too more than pubs and bars. Noisy pubs aren't that enjoyable to me as you can't talk properly and they give me a headache, especially as I'm not drinking at the moment.
You sound really organised, cheerful and on top of things today :T.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
