Today I had the plumber come at 8am. I am surprised that the fear has gone about getting quotes. Maybe it will come back but this morning I was fine. I'm asking for a complete new bathroom. I am buying the bath, shower and sink but he needs to do tiling near the bath and fit a shower too. PLEASE PLEASE let the price be reasonable...

The other thing I have noticed is that after 2 years of slow decluttering today I saw progress. The house still has a way to go but it much lighter and clearer. I think that may be why I feel less embarrassed about having people come in.

I also had an appointment that has been a frog for ages. I applied for a CC! This one allows me to spend abroad with no transaction fees. I can also buy things at the local currency rate without rip off conversion charges. This CC is mostly for travelling with. I have already set up a DD that clears anything I spend each month so I never have to worry about remembering to make a payment. Having a CC is a good thing if used in the right way. I will also use this card to buy anything that I want protection on.

I hope you are all in a positive mood today too :)

Very inspirational but what I would say is if you have the allowable space take in a roomie for a while help cover the basics if need be or make the most of all those years of tax and NI paid in and make sure and claim benefits you’re entitled to

Thanks geemel79 :) I am trying to get my bathroom done and prepping a room so I can indeed have a roomie if needs be. I hope to avoid the conditions and general hell that our benefit system is if at all possible :)

I finally sorted out an old account that had just over £100 in it. I went to close it. Then I thought again and I withdrew £80 and left £20 in it so I can have an additional account. I will keep this account for everything related to the house so I can pay trades people from it. There may come a time when it is hard to get an account. Who knows?

The company I buy clothes from has gone on sale at last. I barely have any clothes after months of over zealous decluttering of clothes! I can’t be sure of fit so I have ordered 2 sizes of the 3 things I want. I hope I am happy with something…:money:

I left a message at the builder on my street’s house today, so he knows I need a quote for brickwork. I will chase this up.

I have a big frog tomorrow. I will let you know when it is eaten…

    Welcome to your weekend :j
