Wow. Is all going on indeed.
Very envious of you getting the floor sanded.
Glad that you are going on holiday.
As you say you may not get the chance again.

I tried to edit a post and now it has gone! So in summary:

FROG 1--I am going on holiday. I worried about it a little as there is so much house stuff to do. But I haven't been abroad in years and I might not get the chance to go with these friends together again. Flights are paid for now. Spending money will come from my day to day to allowance. I have begun a little pot.

FROG 2--Car Ins. I am eating this frog in 2 bits. Yesterday was research and one comparison site. Today more comparison sites and research. Then I will buy it.

    HOUSE NEWS
The bathroom quote came back. It is a fair price and he is a good tradesman. I will go ahead. I need to find a bath and a sink and a shower.
The floor sanding is due to begin the week after next :T
The gardener comes on Friday (weather permitting)

I want to do all the above plus go on holiday. Off to do some sums so I can find a way to make all these things happen.

    Happy Sunday :)

So, I've been adding up figures for hours and so far as I can pay for the holiday, sand the floors, do the garden, and pay for the bathroom fitting. The only problem is I don't have the money to pay for the bathroom (tiles/flooring/shower/bath/sink) i want fitted. The only thing is to ask him to put the bathroom in at the end of July but I run the risk of losing the plumber as he is a very busy plumber! ;)

The other option is to ask the CU for a loan that I repay in full at the end of July. (Looking like the best option right now)

Not having much money takes so much time and energy sometimes. Before someone points it out I know I am lucky to have this home to worry about.

I am going to take a walk to look at bathrooms/showers either today or tomorrow. It is a discount store so maybe I will strike lucky :)

  • I’d say take the loan. You have a clear plan to repay and you will have the work done. Also means that if you see a bargain, you can take advantage
