De lurking to say sorry you are stressed.
I agree with Homegrown re pen and paper and writing everything down (sometimes when we are in the middle of things, we can't see the wood for the trees). This is how you have dealt with stresses before and you always come up with a solution.
You have made so much progress. You can do this.

I know you can overcome these problems/ challenges DIA. you're doing the right thing - sit down with a pen and paper (and maybe some music and essential oils) then write down all your challenges and things that are stressing you. Then just do what you used to do -another_casualty wrote: »Sorry to hear you're a bit down today DIA:(
It may seem like it's a bit much at the moment , but try not to overdo the worrying . You'll get there . Hope the day goes better..De lurking to say sorry you are stressed.

I feel better today
I slept well and it has stopped raining. We humans complicate things but we are just like all other living beings. We need rest and light and air. Simples.
I did very little yesterday.
I had a solicitors letter as my neighbours are building an extension. Turns out I need a part wall specialist surveyor. There is always something!
One action I took was to move the TV out of my bedroom. I had the best night’s sleep in days. It may or may not be connected (research says it is…) but I sometimes fall asleep with the TV on so it is staying out of the bedroom.
I did lots of cooking and using what I had in. I made soup, stock, a batch of rice and quinoa mix, and a salad. I cleaned the kitchen.
I have come to the conclusion that I push ahead like a mad thing then crash. I need have more balance so I have taken a day off next week to see a film.;)
ANGST
--Worried about actions I need to take re party wall.
ACTION
--Researched surveyors and looked at planning websites
--Spoke to a party wall surveyor and now understand the process more fully. I also have someone identified I will use as a surveyor
I am crossing my fingers that the rain stays away so the garden can be done today.
Back later with an ANGST and ACTION list
I made it to the end of the week. You did too. Well done usIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

The gardeners came. My garden was blitzed and it now looks clear and tidy and under control. I feel so much more in control when the gardens are done. The couple who do the garden are lovely people. I gave them £10 extra because they deserved it.
I plucked up my courage to talk to my neighbour about the party wall and she now knows I will be getting a party wall specialist to check the work before and after.
I am visiting a sick friend tomorrow and I wanted to take her gifts. This morning I went searching. I have ‘gifted’ her from the present of toiletries I was given as gifts so I only need to buy chocolate and an essential oil now.
Washing on and it isn’t raining.
My 3 tasks today are to try the builder again re brickwork, phone the electrician for an appointment to quote and buy a train ticket.
I will be WFH and I have a list to shop along with a menu plan for 7 days. I will go to the supermarket after work. That is enough to achieve today.

Great to see you back and firing on all cylinders again DIA .
I agree with tipping the gardeners . It's always good to keep tradespeople onside . I remember in my last home, I tipped the gardeners who did a very big job for me over 3 days iirc.
One day I was walking towards the bus stop in Twickenham high street with 3 bags of shopping about a month later, and the foreman spotted me and gave me a lift home . Little things can go a long way .
Keep going and enjoy the weekend ...0 -

Well done on getting so many things organised DIA

It is nice having a tidy garden. I must blitz mine soon as it's stressful seeing it overgrown. It's like our surroundings are a reflection of our state of mind, but it's a two way process. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
