Just back from the visit to my friend who is unwell. She lives in an area surrounded by beautiful countryside. Another friend came with us and we all went out for tea. It was my treat but I wanted to do it. I had travel costs and I took a few extra treats with me. I bought some toothbrush heads too. All in all today was very expensive. Although I am worried about being able to do all I need to I hope I can continue to spend money on others sometimes too.

Yesterday I did my shop and phoned round for an electrician and did a day’s work. I did not have success with an electrician and the builder was not in to ask about the brick work.

The floor sander threw a curved ball by asking to come on Tuesday  He finished another job early. I ignored my rising panic and said yes. So tomorrow I need to clear 2 rooms so he can get to the floors.

I have an appointment to buy all the bathroom items this week too

I won’t be able to have my relaxation afternoon at the cinema this week as I will need to use my half day to meet the floor sander at the hire centre, buy the products and then set him up at home. I have to go with what is happening or I will miss the opportunity.

So, lots happening this week with some challenges (for me). I shall try to remain calm.

Wishing you all a good week to come

    Oh it will.
I would love to have mine done.

Thanks AC :) That is what I am realising. I can have plans but if they say they can come I'm learning to say yes regardless

Thanks Beanie :) Mine are good but there are a few dodgy floorboards where I will use filler and I also plan on getting a big rug too

I am disappointed with my neighbours who are building an extension.

I thought we got on well. They even have my front door key in case of emergencies. I now find out they have dug the foundations and filled in with concrete so their work cannot be checked and the party wall act no longer applies. The husband is a builder so it was no accident. Basically they have screwed me over to save a few hundred pounds.

I will continue to be polite but I feel so disappointed. I will have to hope there has been no damage to my property...

This renews my vigour to get the house sorted so I can get the hell out.

I am going out to calm down then I will come home and get the rooms ready for the sand floorer.

Why can't people behave decently? :(

How frustrating about the neighbours :(

  • Sorry about the neighbours :(. However you're working towards a long term goal which doesn't involve living next to them and you will get there in the end. Every step is taking you closer to your end goal. So keep on keeping on DIA because you're doing very well :).
