I went to check the gym out today. It costs £15 a month with no joining fee. This is a 3 month introductory offer after which it becomes £25 a month. There is no contract. I am tempted to go for it. I am sure regular exercise will help me deal with the stresses of life. I also need to lose weight and exercise can only help. The important thing is : THERE IS NO CONTRACT. I CAN LEAVE ANYTIME :)

I returned a faulty item to Mr. S. today. I have got much better at keeping my receipts and returning things that stop working. I now have no hand blender…

I have added up the cost of all the sale clothes I have kept. I have saved a small fortune but I also spent a few hundred pounds! They will last as they are well made. I don’t buy many clothes, so I am going to try not to feel guilty. I have been wearing one dress for several years and I fear looking shabby…

Off to a gallery tomorrow . My friends wanted to eat out. I found somewhere reasonably priced. They have a happy hour on all cocktails too :)

My focus next week is to find an electrician and get a quote

    Enjoy your Sunday evening.

  • Well done on the gym DIA. Look forward to hearing how it goes .
Hopefully there's lots going on there so you can do a multitude of different things to get you to where you want to be .
    Good luck with it .
Enjoy the gallery , and have a good week . You seem to be maintaining a clear , relaxed and realistic approach to things .
    Keep it up:) ..

    good work all round

I'm sure you can find a good time when its nice and quiet and you can do what you want without other people to bother you/get in your way.
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine
  • They gym sounds very reasonable and the best bit is being able to cancel anytime you like.

Everyone does need to buy new clothes now and again so they don't look shabby, so I think those spends are justified :).

Thanks Marks88:) Yes gym should work as it is a 24 hour gym. I don't see how at that price point it can be viable but we shall see...

Thanks HH :) That is true! I kept some nice things. A lovely lined dress that was £115 reduced to £45 for instance. I wore it out yesterday and it looked lovely :)

    LIFE AND THE UNIVERSE
I sent some more of the clothes back because I could not justify the amount of money spent, but I still kept some nice pieces to add to my wardrobe.

I had such a nice day yesterday out with my friend, it felt like a mini break. We went to see an art exhibition, had a few glasses of wine and we had some food together

The Floor Sander is still here! I need to decompress from having him here so I may change my plans for tomorrow. I am due to do a task that involves lots of travelling tomorrow. I might write an action plan that involves staying close to home tomorrow instead. I need to get some trainers and check out the new gym and join up too.

My new plan is to keep moving ahead but to stay relaxed and not stress myself out.

    HOUSE PROGRESS
The floors in two rooms have been sanded, sealed and waxed to a high standard. :j:j:j

Electrician has been contacted and he will come to quote for the work needed in the bathroom.

I took the pressure off myself by contacting the plumber and delaying the work. I will do electrics first and then rearrange. He texted back ‘Ok’ If he gets the hump so be it. I need to avoid getting stressed out again. It can wait. I am also sick of no ‘give’ with my finances.

My neighbour’s workers have damaged my brickwork on the garden wall. I will have to speak to them and ask for it be repaired. I am not looking forward to it. :(

    CAR
Learnt (with the help of the Floor Sander) how to get the bonnet up on the car and I checked the water level. As suspected it is very low. I will go to Half0rds and get some coolant and get it topped up whilst I am there.

I hope your day went well :)
