My year of living dangerously

I used to be nervous about my hygienist appointment but I have grown to like going for the feeling after. I also appreciate having enough money to take care of my teeth. £60 gone…
I went to Mr W. and was shouted at by a cashier for asking, ‘Is this till open?’ I spoke to the manager. I received an apology and a gift voucher for £10! So glad I stood up for myself and refused to be treated poorly.
A woman on the train had her bag on my lap! I asked her to please take it off my lap. She did and she apologised. I am practising standing up for myself.
Using my money well
I used my free eye test voucher and saved £25. I get my eyes tested later in the week. This is also a FROG for me.:money:
I paid for my car tax in one go so it was cheaper:money:
I bought a top for £30 that was previously £85:money:
I bought a dress for £45 that was previously £115:money:
I now have my entire gym kit purchased half price in the sale. I am ready for when the gym opens in a fortnight :money:
Lots of money has passed through my hands today but there is no spending I regretIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Well done for standing up for yourself DIA . Who is Mr . W?
I had similar annoyances when I was selling my last place and extra random annoyances apart from the usual stress were actually a lot worse because of all that had to be done to get my life change underway . Looks like you're going through the same until everything gets sorted . Life is crap at times , but you'll get there .
Good that you are looking into your eye test voucher . Apart from the cost , I too look forward to the dental hygienist .
Hope things are not too bad on the neighbour issue . Hopefully they will smooth over the damage they caused and no bad feelings from either of you . One card you do have up your sleeve is that they don't know that you will be off when all is done on your place .
Keep that to yourself , and smile when you close the door .
Hope things keep improving otherwise ...0 -

I ate a massive frog today. :T After more years than I will admit here I got my eyes tested. Just as well the test was free due to a voucher as I bought 2 pairs of glasses and they were not cheap! I thought about checking elsewhere but in the end I bought them where I took the test rather than procrastinate and talk myself out of the decision. I get a voucher from work too so that will help.
Seeing my face and hair blown up on the Optician's screen was depressing. Just as well I joined the gym but I also need a haircut. Sigh.
I got my pension statement and I decided to book an appointment with Pensionwise. Done :T I want to be able to minimise any tax for future and thought they might help. I also checked where I am with state pension.
I feel grown up today as I did grown up things. Glasses? Pensions? I am clearly getting old…
Off to think of something to do to make me feel younger…
Hope you all feel young and sprightlyIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Good to see you got the eyes sorted DIA. You'll feel better after the haircut . If you can get the gym routine sorted out , then you will see how far you've come in a few months time . Just keep pushing onward the way you are , and it'll all come together .0
