I've just caught up on your diary DIA. You're doing amazingly well on your house and treating yourself to clothes which you deserve.

It did take me a while to figure out what the Ay Ay was though.:o
Thanks Parsniphead. I need to focus on the next job but trying to get everything straight first as the house is such a mess :o I keep getting ads every time I mention a brand hence my codes ;)

A work day but a WFH day. Thank goodness, as rush hour in the heat is not fun!

Yesterday I bought a bathroom cabinet. This has been outstanding for years! It was an end of line so a very reasonable price. I don’t have it on the wall yet. It is on my bedroom floor for now. It was such a pleasure to put all my toiletries spread all over the house in one place.

Today I cleared my front door entrance. All the rubbish has gone and I cleaned the shelf, window and door inside. Hoovered stairs and the hallways. Shoes have been collected and are now on a shoe rack in the hall. What a difference! No more falling over stuff and I’m able to open the front door all the way! There is still a bike with flat tyres in the hallway so another task will be getting that sorted and finding a way to wall mount it. Or selling it…

    Ironing and washing done.:T

Not made it to the gym yet but booked a 6am circuits class on Monday. Gulp!

I hope your day is going well :)

Will you actually use the bike?
If not then sell it :)

  • Great progress DIA .
Not sure if doing circuits on your first day is the way to go tho .
I would've thought an induction and a workout card done by the person you see would be the way to go . Take it easy when starting out . Don't want you to crash and burn . Maybe worth speaking to someone there before hand ?

Hey DIA - told you I'd stop by :) And i'm not in the least bit bored!

Glad you managed to do some decluttering and cleaning. Need to pass some of that motivation on to me, if you don't mind!

Enjoy the gym too - it was my first day back in weeks yesterday morning and it was hard going but felt great after it. Think of all those lovely, flowing endorphins!

You are right Beanie, but I keep telling myself I will use it. I've joined a gym so maybe my energy levels will improve and I'll get back into it. We shall see...

Thanks savingholmes, it has made a massive difference to the 'flow' of the house

Thanks AC :) You are probably right, but the class is only 30 minutes and I love circuits. I'm going to do classes to begin and then get an induction to start using the gym equipment later. I just want to get the habit of going and 30 minute classes seem like a good way of easing me in. If it doesn't work I will change the plan :)

Thanks for popping in Homegrown0 :) I expect the gym to be VERY HARD to start with but no pain no gain and all that...

A busy week with social events. Another event tonight. I said I would do a dish and I am swapping one grain for another for my dish as I don't have the time to shop as I am working today. Should be okay and I will pick up some nice wine after work.

The constant furniture moving, clearing, trips to the skip, and decluttering, is beginning to work. The house is looking lighter, cleaner, clearer and more organised. I listen to 'a slob comes clean' podcasts and she is right about not being able to deep clean without decluttering first. I still need to deep clean and do some painting.

I now need to identify the next job on the house and start getting quotes!!

I looked at a bathroom shop and can now see what a huge bargain the bath I did not get in the end was. I am back to the drawing board on that one. Although now I am much more informed and I know what I need now :o

The building work next door has stopped for a whole week. Bliss.

I best get ready for work.

Have a good Saturday everyone :)
