Remind amazon under the Consumer Rights Directive, goods remain at their risk until they come into the physical possession of you or someone identified by you as being authorised to receive the goods.

You didn't identify your neighbours so the goods being missing is their liability, not yours.

Unless you commissioned your own courier - which seems unlikely given the seller.

I have told that 100 times already, but that team is which is handling my case are simply not doing anything they are saying unless you have police report wont do anything
even when i tell them it was delivered to random house with a random person they are saying since it was in that GEO location
Heck i asked to send me signature proof they are not even sharing that
and saying we will share that with police and you have to contact police
and only option for you is to fill a report only than they will issue a refund or return

    A cuple if questions OP

In your Amazon account there is the option to say what you want done with a parcel if you are not there to receive them, have you specified that parcels can be left with a neighbour?

Have you had similar problems with previous Amazon parcels going astray?

Amazon do that though, they dont have no where local to store the parcels unlike Royal Mail.

Was it not an option to get it delivered to an Amazon Locker or a local Post Office ?

Just an aside, I have never been asked for any ID when taking parcels, either for myself or my neighbours.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

Have you tried ringing 101 instead of going directly to the police station?

Can you request Amazon send you the evidence that the laptop was signed for at that specific neighbour's address.

If all else fails, Amazon have admitted that they've not delivered to your address and therefore are in breach of contract, no matter what they say. You'll need to send them a Letter before Action (LBA) given them a period to resolve the matter before you take legal action.

I've never heard of this either, although in places with multiple occupancy, high crime, this could be a thing now.

When i requested was simply told they wont provide me with anything they will provide that to police
They will do anything only after i report to police and give the photo of the statment and all other details
