  • Had an email today about changes to the SDN emails. Apparently for security reasons they will no longer contain the address of the buyer. You will have to log into your seller account to do this. The email will just tell you what you have sold and for how much. Havn't had one yet so yet to see how it works in practice.

I got that email last week, already had two since. The emails basically don't tell you much other than to look at your account.
No longer using this account for new posts from 2013
  • I thought it looked a bit odd & why can't they send the address anyway. I prefer to copy and paste the address so i can print big and clear.

*Sigh* I want a keyboard with the "X" on the number pad ....

Sales very slow at the moment but at least I have finished stripping out all the no hopers and listed the few extras we've now read. Less to move !! I'd *really* like to sell out and then moving would be so much easier ....

Yes that is right. 2nd class packet only goes up to 1000g, 1001+ has to go first class or parcel. If you paid £6.50 first class then you could have sent it by Parcel and it would have only cost £5.68.

    FFM :)

I see. So how do you send by Parcel? Can you do this at the PO? What do you ask for?

    thanks!!:o

Parcels just go the same way down at the post office. - always best to check though as I sold an ENORMOUS medical book this week- cost me £8 first class packet - and it would have been £8.25 parcel post ... go figure! Get yourself a leaflet with all the prices in (or download the .pdf from the royal mail site) and get a rough idea at home on your kitchen scales or something.

It's all going to change in April anyway *sigh*

Had an SDN email today in the same format as usual. When does the new system kick in?

Hi Jo, supposed to be from Monday coming 28th according to the email I got. Theres also another announcement about including the postage costs on the listings page so that buyers can see what the best option is so seems like there's lots of tinkering coming up

It's going to be much more relevant to buyers than it is to sellers. Particularly as it's the other categories where people get to set their own postage rates as members of seller central selling in categories where postage costs vary from seller to seller such as in this example - amazonprices.jpg
Though no need to worry about this happening in books, as media aren't allowed to be sold by members of seller central.

Whilst I know it is still a positive I am some what surprised at a 4* I have just received.

This particular buyer sent several emails and was almost my best friend for a while..apparenty the book is very rare and it had taken him years to track down a copy and he said he was 'overjoyed' to get mine.

The 4* says book was expensive for second hand book.

The next copy is only acceptable and at almost £50 is £25 dearer than mine, I'd love to tell him to return mine for a full refund and buy that one instead. I won't of course as sales are a bit sparse at the moment.

Also, working out the dates it appears that feedback was only left when he got the reminder email from Amazon.
