Tried to create a listing on Amazon .co.uk for an item I have - the item is not listed on Amazon .co.uk ...... new window opens saying the item does have a listing on Amazon .de so I can't create a duplicate listing in the UK catalogue and as Amazon say my UK sellers account won't carry over ..... will I have to start again as a new seller on Amazon .de?
Has anyone else had this situ - or had to set up on another Amazon domain .... whats involved?

They've recently tidied this up and now books on .com can be listed when not on .co.uk, when you get to create a listing it will check your details against the .com one and if you click 'sell yours' it then just creates a listing, though expect it to be flooded with yanks within a few days! Hopefully they will be tidying this up for the other sites as well sometime soon!Do You Twitter?

Just thought I would bump this thread up again as it was drifting a bit.
I have a slight worry about my Amazon account, having been reading the seller boards and the ways the new 'buyer satisfaction' rules are enforced I am concerned that my feedback percentage rate is getting worryingly low.
Like many others I usually get about a 50% return on feedback but my current figures show 18 books sold in the past week and a total feedback for the past month of just 7!! It's never been so low...it is still 100% so I am loath to badger my buyers for feedback, but is it just me or are buyers even more reluctant to leave feedback than normal?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Yes customers rarely leave feedback on Amazon these days. I had a lovely email this morning from a buyer who loved the book I sold her. Checked my feedback and she hadn't left any0

Funny you should say that. I have exchanged a fair few emails with a charming buyer about the author of a book he wanted. I had the only reasonably priced copy and he explained he knew the author but the book was rare and when it arrived a couple of weeks back he emailed again to say how very pleased he was with his purchase.
You guessed it, no feedback though!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Yep, same here - have only 5 feedbacks for the last month, might be something to do with holidays and festivities??? Am still at 100% touch wood but it would only take one or two low feedbacks to really make a dent . I too had email communication with a buyer who wanted to know if I sold on Abe or Alibris [I don't] - was very pleased with his purchase, he's a collector of Irish ephemera and 1st Eds but no feedback.....
Anyway off to bed up at 5.30 for work NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO0 -
When it says to send within two working days, do they count the day the seller bought it? And if they do, is there a cut off time?
Eg. had a seller buy Sunday so sent second class Monday am, so that's okay right? No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
I am having a nightmare, I really want to cry!
Sold some books before christmas, recieved on 3/5 as apparently it arrived bent. I have now recieved another 3/5 as a book hasn't arrived although I have put in a postal claim. He left the 3/5 before he told me it hadn't arrived.
Then I had a kill bill video returned as no longer at this address! So I've had to give a refund there.
Panicking now that they will shut my account, what do you think? I'm registared SE so can't really just think of it as lost pocket money if you know what I mean.
Any ideas or advice?0 -
Nicci - what a nightmare! Try some begging emails - if you refund for the bent book or offer discount off another purchase. As it wasn't your fault they might be willing to delete it - as might the non arrival - I always send a copy of the POP when they say it hasn't arrived so they know I have posted it - you can then give them a refund and claim it back . Also if Amazon do get funny at least you have the proof of stuff to show you weren't at fault.
Good luck!0 -

I wouldn't get overly worried about it, even if your feedback drops below 95%, they won't take action against you unless it stays that low or gets lower. Most of the scare stories about people being shut down are from people selling high price items such as electronics and there usually is other reasons that they don't mention. If you do receive a warning email get in touch and explain the situation, amazon don't intend to pick on people having a small spell of bad luck, it's just there automatic software kicking in to protect buyers and amazon.
As for the previous post in regard to dispatch time, amazon expect you to post within 2 days of the order, though these are 2 working days so weekends don't count. 2nd class is also fine as amazon don't stipulate what service should be used. Some big companies on amazon rarely dispatch inside the 2days and still send 2nd class. As a small seller it is good to have the advantage of dispatching faster but most customers are happy if their book arrives within a week.Do You Twitter?
