I'm down to just 5 feedback now for the past 30 days, still 100% but I'm seriously getting worried now!
Hi Soo, my feedback for 30 days has dropped down to 4 now! On the bright side I've had a really good selling week for me - its like my listings are suddenly switched on or something. 8 items in the last 3 days, one buyer bought 2 books. Bit worried that they'll be sniffy re the postage so am going to put in an extra book from a similar series and hope that helps..... Also pleased to say that quite a few sales are for items where there were lots of 1p listings but the buyer went for my more expensive listing. Oh well fingers crossed these sales result in some good feedback. Hope you get more good feedback soon too.

Hi Gemmzie, Amazon feedback is very different to ebay in that only about an average of 1 in 4 or 5 buyers leave feedback. Its not such a big issue here, I sold quite a bit before I got feedback and it didn't seem to put buyers off being a 'new seller'. Amazon will send buyers an automated email asking if they would like to rate the transaction/service, I think it goes out after about three weeks. Opinion is divided on asking for feedback, some folk think it annoys buyers. You could do an email explaining you are a new seller trying to build up feedback and ask them to leave some - trouble is if you get one thats negative, Amazon have clamped right down and its very difficult to get feedback removed now unless its got swearing in it.0 -

On ebay asking for feedback after the sale is seen as a no no..it seriously irritates many users. However on Amazon it is a little different, but as I am more used to ebay I am still loath to contact my Amazon buyers to ask for feedback as it doesn't feel right to me.
I may be forced to though if my feedback doesn't start coming in soon. 50 sales in the past month and only 5 feedback in the past week :eek:I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Hi there - I'm new to this site, and sorry if I seem a bit confused. Am stumbling around a bit (it's a confusing site for a newbie!). I posted a question yesterday on another bit of the forum, but haven't got an answer and it may have been in the wrong place.
I've sold my first book on Amazon, and just found this forum because of it. Huge thanks to all for the terrific advice. Anyway, my payment shows on my sellers account page as completed, and amazon emailed to ask me to post the book within 2 days. However, on the transaction page it shows as payment pending. Is that simply because I'm new - I'm not sure whether to post or wait.
Any advice would be appreciated. And thanks again for all the great tips.

You need to send the book when you receive the sold, dispatch now email from Amazon.
It is showing as payment pending as it has not been paid into your bank account yet. If you click on 'view your payments account' there will be info on when it will be due to be sent to your bank account by Amazon or you can choose to have it sent over earlier.

Many thanks for that - typical newbie, just being stupid.

I've just sold my first book - hurrah! It's a bit too thick for large letter size so it'll have to be sent as a parcel. Do I need to go to the post office with it or can I just put the appropriate postage on and stick it in a post box?
Sorry if this is a really daft questionI just don't want to put it in the post box and end up having problems with it!
